My mom and I had been using Sparkle Pool for a few years. Their service definitely diminished over those years. Two years ago they’d do things like put the pool cleaning robot in the pool to check it is working upon the initial opening of the pool. Now the response I get is that was never part of their service. That is fine, but why set high expectations then change the quality and consistency?

I recently made a call about some specks in the pool. I thought it may be a residue of chemicals so i asked it to be looked into. The person I spoke to on the phone (Ben) thought it may be flakes from an old lining and that turned out to be the case. My issue with this call is I was not informed there would be a $135 service charge, I instead found out after the fact after zero communication about the service after the initial call. They have had issues contacting my number which is fair, but they have my email and could always communicate via email for things other than to just bill me. The previous time I called about my pool heater not working since the opening of the pool there was no service charge for them to take a look at it. I thought this was because it was on them for never following up after the initial pool opening but apparently it was because they were already in the area!?

I ended my service today simply due to how this was all handled. Their poor communication on top of the unprofessionalism was horrendous. When I called about the fact that I hadn’t been informed about the charge the final response I got from Ben was “I guess lesson learned.” Followed by laughter. Terrible customer service.

Everyone at Sparkle is like family. They give the best service and pricing anywhere! We have replaced our liner, electric cover, a pump and more recently, a gas heater. From the ownership down to the service technicians, nobody better. I highly recommend!!!

We got our Hot tub spa put in just in time for the chilly winters! Staff has been great and they have loads of knowledge to help us get the most use out of it, Plan on getting an above ground pool with our tax returns!

It's sad to see how businesses can function with such poor service skills. I called to schedule a service and the gal that answered the phone, Laura, without any indication why direct transferred me to a random voicemail. I called back and she did the same thing a second time. I called a third time and when I asked her why she's transferring me to voicemails she says "oh, they aren't in today...." Seriously? You can't say that up front? I told her I was going elsewhere to service my pool and her response was... "sounds good..." and that's what I'll do. I won't be in to purchase anything from you again.

I really don't want to write this review but should be aware of Blue Fin's business practices.

Blue fin did not honor a gift card that was given to me. They updated their system and lost record of the amount on the card. My wife talked to the owner. Turns out he is a pretty rude guy. He was supposed to look into it and call her back which did not happen. Very disappointing.
Blue fin's prices are horrible. I suppose that's to be expected, but sheesh!! They guys that come out to open and close up our pool used to be great but recently they have been less helpful.
The senior staff in the store are likely to try to sell you way to much chemicals and their return policy is horrible. These facts have persuaded me to take my business elsewhere. Shame really. They've serviced our pool for decades.

After several discussions with the owner he credited my account with the value of the gift card.

Not very good about communication with customers. Got a quote and wanted work done was told they would call to schedule, they did not call so I had to call them. Brought our robot cleaner in for a service because it stopped working, was told it would be ready Wednesday and I would get a call.... no call.... disappointing since we like to use them, but they are just flakey about calling for some reason. We stuck with them because our parts and pool electronics are all under warranty with them... so have to play telephone again I guess...
