Carter from AMI came out and put in a new water softener system in the house. The old system was 24 years old. He did an excellent job. I had plenty of questions about the system and he answered all of them. Thanks again Carter. Would highly recommend AMI for any future projects in your house.

July 3, 2024 just before the long holiday weekend.
Early Wednesday morning we woke up to very lukewarm hot water. I read about a reset button to press. A couple of hours later still no hot water.
I called Air Mechanical. Scott said he could have a plumper at my house between 12-5.
Mike Washburn showed up at about 2.
He was very knowledgeable about my 100 gallon water tank.
He ran all of the electrical tests. Every thing seemed to be ok.
But still no hot water. He checked with a coworker on the phone. Between the two of them , they figured out the problem.
So, he installed two thermostats, upper and lower.
Only took an hour and a half.
Three hours later I had my very hot hot water back.
All this on the same day I called. How do they do that?
Needless to say I will be calling them again in the future if I need to.
Thanks Mike to you and your coworkers for a job well done.

Edward was our technician for a loud AC unit. He was communicative, on time and transparent about the issues with our unit. He discussed the options open to us for repairs, expected unit life, and possible replacement costs. Love having the Air Mechanical membership for a discounted service rate, and the technicians are always fantastic!

Our service technician, Mike, was simply amazing! He was so awesome, and such a pleasure to have do our repair. He did an amazing job of explaining things as he discovered them, and performing the repairs to get our air conditioning back up and running! If everyone else at Air Mechanical Is anywhere near as remarkable as Mike is, this truly is an exceptional firm that deserves to be recognized! I will strongly recommend this firm based on our experience with Mike!

Derek and Cody with Air Mechanical stopped out yesterday to service the air conditioning unit and other parts. Here on time. Called ahead. Ready for work. They spent probably 1-1.5 hours and we're thorough with the assessment. Explained the age of the equipment, useful life discussion, and showed us some necessary maintenance items that were solid recommendations. Super nice guys! I'd be pleased to have them back in the future. Overall, I had an excellent service experience!! Thanks!

Andrew was very professional and patient answering all my questions no matter how dumb they might have been. The tune up was done in a fast and efficient manner. When he left I had a realistic expectation about the life expectancy of my 22 year old Air conditioner. Very pleased with the whole experience.

Update from June 11, 2024: I had an emergency toilet leak, and Air Mechanical came out promptly and removed it. The plumber and I discussed the options for a replacement toilet. While the toilet was on order, I had the mitigation and part of the rebuild done by two different companies, and Air Mechanical worked within their schedules to install a new flange and replace the bend in the waste stack where it had failed. When the toilet arrived, it wasn't the right model of toilet, but Air Mechanical installed it and said I could use it until the right one came in. I actually really liked the toilet but was excited to get the skirted toilet I had ordered. So far so good.
When the new skirted toilet came, it was installed and the plumbers left quickly. Later, I saw that the new toilet was too big for the space, and that the shutoff valve was not fully operational because of the bigger size of the skirted toilet. I was flabbergasted that they would install something that was not the appropriate size for the location and length of the shutoff valve. Nowhere in the process of removing the original toilet, repairing the waste stack, and installing the new toilet was a permit pulled. If it had been (and I believe it is required because of the nature of the plumbing work in the waste stack), this would have been corrected.
I called Air Mechanical and asked them to reinstall the previous toilet. I never heard back. Weeks and weeks later, I called again to let them know that I had called the City of St. Paul to see if it was up to code to have a non-operational shutoff valve and it isn't. I asked them again to please replace the toilet with the previous style. I never heard back.
I can't believe that a plumbing company would leave it up to the customer to know their toilet rough-in and other plumbing specs. I assumed that it was the other way around. If I had been told that the toilet I had chosen was not going to work in the space I had, I would certainly have asked for guidance in choosing one that would.
Now I'm stuck with a very expensive toilet that I'll need to pay to replace and dispose of and the prospect of paying even more money to have a reputable plumber to do that.

Sergey and his apprentice Carl did a great job installing my water heater and water softener. They rerouted some piping and moved the water softener to a better spot. Sergey kept me informed the whole time, and then he explained how to run both of them. I was impressed with the quality of work that was done, and also the small improvements that were made. All in all I'm very satisfied!

Sergey was amazing. This is the second time he’s been to our house and he’s nothing but professional, quick, efficient and of course super friendly. He was able to arrive well before the time frame and got the job done swiftly and took care of the leak. We’d love to have him back for any future work that might need to be done!
