When I was looking for a builder I wanted some very specific things: Quality craftsmanship, timely communication, adherence to a timeline and staying within a budget. I discussed my desires with several people in the building industry and Brice came up repeatedly as someone that can handle complex projects, communicates well and would be able to deliver on my expectations. Brice has been exactly what I expected. He is a genuine person that cares about the quality of his work and goes above and beyond to communicate clearly. He provides an excellent blend of modern methods and time tested quality. When we have not seen eye to eye, he has explained his perspective, listened to mine and been willing to provide the product that exceeds my expectations without compromising quality, the budget or the timeline. I feel like I found the exact builder that I needed, I am getting the home I wanted and all the millions of concerns and questions that go into such a large job are being managed by someone I can trust to deliver. I feel total confidence in Brice and his team and look forward to working with him in the future.

Overall

Although we are probably not their typical customer, Bernskoetter did a great job our shop expansion project that involved a number of tricky obstacles. It was a tight space, for a collision center, we needed duct work built into the foundation with concrete tunnels and suspended portion of the finished floor, etc. We were able to keep operations 100% functional during the build and that was big deal for us. They have also put in a new, smaller restroom for us since then. I would recommend them for anything you need.

My husband and I spent time looking for a quality builder and asked many people what their experiences had been as they built. Bernskoetter construction kept coming up as the best. We met with Brice and he showed us a home he was working on so we could see the quality. After meeting Brice we felt he was someone who would communicate with us and work through problems when they arose. We hit the jackpot. Brice has been very responsive to our concerns, input, and questions. He has taken time to research building materials and what will work best in in a given environment. He is very passionate about quality. He keeps up to date on building materials and does his best to use the best.
If you are looking for a quality build, meet with Brice and you will be impressed.

Overall

I had Bernskoetter construction come out to finish my basement 4 years ago. Building on the outskirts of St Louis, the home building process and quality left me fairly disappointed compared to what I grew up with as the son of the owner of Bernskoetter Construction.

The crew spent the entire first day installing blocking, fixing sagging joists and reinforcing floor joists that were not properly supporting the large fireplace loads from the masonry above. It took the crew a full day to bring the unfinished basement just up to spec so they could start their work.

The guys were fast, precise and courteous at all times. Wayne was excellent at making suggestions to provide a beautiful finished product for our basement.

We were ecstatic with the end result and because of how inviting it is, wind up spending tons of time downstairs as it is our main living area now. People come by and notice the quality difference and the attention to detail and the level of trim and finish work in the basement. They remark how different it is than the upstairs. We tell them we're aware! That's why you use Bernskoetter Construction!
