1.Horrible place to work. Management has no clue what they are doing. They are very disrespectful to all the drivers. At one time they considered drivers as pets. They wouldn’t let them use the 3 restrooms inside. They made them do their business outside.
2. They don’t pay what they tell you at the time of hire. I have seen them terminate a very good employee for calling them out for not paying what they promised.
3. Trucks don’t get fixed. Tires don’t get replaced. Hauling illegal is a common practice. They have lost over 25 people in the past six months.
4.If you are proud of your truck. You keep it clean and in order. This is not the place for you. They have no spare trucks. If you take vacation or off for any other reason. They will put someone in your truck. So when you come back. Expect your things missing or out of place. Don’t forget the mess the other person will leave for you to clean up because it’s not their truck.
5. This is something else they won’t tell you. When it’s slow. Because they don’t know how to get or keep work. You will sit at home not making money. They also don’t like paying unemployment. So you end up with a job that doesn’t pay the bills. Winter time are very slow. If you are looking for year round work. This job is not for you.
6. I wish someone would a left a review like this before I started there. It would have saved me a lot of time and money.
7. Word to the wise. If you notice on the reviews. The 5 stars with no comment. Those are employees posting. They do that to bring the ratings up. Over the past 4 years all they have been getting are bad reviews. So They have them removed. What they don’t know, is after removing it 3 time. The fourth time. Google puts in on permanently. Never to be removed again.
8. I hope this helps you with your career choice. It would have truly helped me with my choice.

RESPONSE BACK TO CAPITAL

I am not sure who responded to this review. Either you are not doing your job at all, or you are avoiding dealing with the problems you are having. Let’s start with this. 14 percent turnover rate is unacceptable. Why is your turnover rate at 60 percent???? That is not an employee problem. That is a management problem. Why didn’t you explain to everyone that putting a padlock on the bathrooms to keep the drivers out, was a good idea. Management at Capital hauling felt that they were too good to have DRIVERS use the same restrooms as the management. So placing a porta potty outside for the drivers to use year round. That seemed appropriate??? You wonder why people don’t want to work there. I would also like someone to explain this. Why is it that the management at Capital Hauling, are more concerned about keeping Arch transport trucks rolling, while the capital trucks sit? That makes no sense to anyone. Instead of making Capital Hauling money. Arch transport comes first. While the Capital trucks sits. Who is making extra money on that arrangement? Cement drivers getting covered in cement dust every day. That isn’t a safety issue to you??? To this day. Follow one of your cement tankers down the highway. A cloud of dust comes off the top of every truck. For over a mile, it covers cars on the highway. This is another example that health and safety is not a concern. That garbage that was responded to my original post. It was general programmed response , that anyone could copy off the internet. To prove that Capital is so conceited and arrogant. Your main concern,is about a fake image of success that doesn’t exist. So to try to make your ratings look better. You have members of your staff leave a 5 star rating with no comment on the same day. You really think people are that stupid?
