As a home inspector, I often find myself working with Hayman on Tie-down certification. The communication is top notch with a very simple email/portal system. It’s very easy to talk to the person in charge of the certification engineering and issues are often solved with a quick phone call. All around professionalism.

Hayman inspection review

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST INSPECTION COMPANY I HAVE EVER WORKED WITH!! They have terrible communication skills and refused to tell me what time the inspector was coming out and told me they would only contact one person (which has to be my realtor). The only give you a time frame to which they will come not a specific time.

I payed $385 for the inspector to come out. Then inspector came out and called my realtor saying that panel was not removed and wanted permission to remove it. After getting permission he said he did not bring the right tool to take the panel off and that he would come back.

I then called the company to discuss the matter and was met with the WORST customer service I have EVER experienced! The lady I talked to was extremely rude and not helpful at all! She told me that I would be charged the $385 for the inspection that HE DID NOT DO and that I would be charged a $150 re-inspected fee for him to come back out and do the inspection he was supposed to complete in the first place!! The lady I talked to tried to tell me that it was not the inspectors fault he didn’t have the tool he needed and I can not expect him to have that! It is quite literally his job to have the tool needed to take the panel off to inspect under the home! I told her I was okay with him coming out to do the inspection at a later time for the original fee of the $385 but she refused to do that and insisted on charging me a $150 re-inspection fee. So I will be getting a refund instead and will absolutely not be recommending this company to anyone at all!

Teresa and Sara were so pleasant knowledgable ... I needed a repair to finalize report and between the two if them they got it completed in a very short time frame ... and notified me immediately to get the info submitted for closing! Life savers for sure .... highly recommend!

I was very disappointed with the dealings that I had with Hayman Residential Engineering. I was working as a real estate agent for some clients looking to buy a single-wide home. The sellers of the home installed the required tie-downs for the lender and Hayman Residential Engineering was doing the inspection.

The initial install needed additional components to be signed off on so additional work was completed. The engineer we worked with initially said the system failed because the wrong parts were used for the install. Luckily for the buyers and sellers, I have a degree in engineering and I found her reasoning as to why the part didn't work to be suspect. She was adamant that she was correct. Only after our further insistence did she agree to reach out to the manufacturer. I reached out to the manufacturer of the parts and they confirmed that they were in-fact an acceptable part used in the proper application.

In addition to their poor communication, their error and insistence of their error would have caused a large delay in the closing of the sale. It would have caused the seller to NEEDLESSLY spend more time and money to install the "correct" parts.

They did not even clearly explain to the local inspector what pictures were needed to be taken of the installed system. I was required to take pictures for them to continue with the report.

I am hoping that I do not need to work with them again in the future.
