We just had our deck and screened-in porch renovated by California Custom Decks. Wow! What a great experience! Initially Mike did a great job with the planning and design. Our Lead Carpenter, Josh and his Crew were fantastic. Couldn’t have asked for a better crew. We’ve dealt with a lot of Contractors over the years but never experienced such professionalism and dedication. True craftsmen. California Custom Decks staff showed up on time and did everything they said they would and more. Kept us informed every step of the way. We are very pleased and would definitely recommend California Custom Decks to anyone needing a deck or screened-in porch.

Mark, your crew(Josh, Blake, Jeramie and Rob) just wrapped up their final work on our decks. Brian will take care of the electrical next Monday or Tuesday. We expect the EzeBreeze windows in 6-8 weeks to complete this project. I've attached a few pictures. We didn't get a chance to do a walk through since it was freezing but I imagine any sort of punch list items we find will be minimal.

The decks are beautiful and we are thrilled with the results and can't wait for halfway decent weather to be able to enjoy them.

You, your company and your crew have been superb throughout. We were confident we made the right choice to go with California Custom Decks(CCD) back in June 2023 and that decision has been reinforced many times over since then. I have shared these thoughts with the crew a few times and invite you to let them know I shared this with you. I know that there is always the next job but I hope that you and your entire team know that you did a great job creating a wonderful space that will see many years of chilling and hosting of friends and family.

The California Custom Deck management and crew did an outstanding job in our very large deck project. They were professional, courteous, and above all, very good at their craft. They were right on regarding the start date as well as how long the deck would take to complete.
We live in a tight cul de sac with one or two "fussy" neighbors. Carl and his crew were especially courteous on where they parked their vehicles. I was especially pleased that they didn't utilize a dumpster for the old deck. The demo crew did a great job getting rid of the old deck in an unobtrusive manner that didn't disrupt our household.

These guys rock. Thanks to Josh, Blake, and Rob. Our aging cedar deck was removed along with the pergula. The understructure was preserved and re-enforced for the Armadill composite product. The team was outstanding and did the conversion in 2 weeks. They were responsive in adapting to our requests on the pergula and deck skirting.

California decks rebuilt my cedar deck, removing all except the posts and joists. They then installed the decking, stairs and railings. When Mark reviewed the old deck, he suggested I add a "picture frame" which was 2 boards wide all around the deck floor, which allowed all the rest of the deck boards to be full length of 20 feet, with NO joints. The new step construction is more rigid and sturdy than my old steps, and the handrail they added is very helpful.

Their installation personnel were hard working, courteous, concerned with quality, and very friendly. I can highly recommend California Decks for their value, quality and it was a pleasure dealing with them.
