Varied outcomes when using this company. We were looking for a steel fence and this was one of the only places we could find one and it was recommended by neighbors. We had a good experience and got what we asked and were quoted. It took a little longer to get started but that is understandable with how much rain we had at the time. We had such a good experience that my parents also decided to go with Empire. They had to wait months longer than expected but were ok with that, but then the wrong fencing was installed. They were quoted and paid for the fence with 3 horizontal bars, two closer to the top to give it more style. They wanted 3 gates, one on each side of the house and one out the back as they have woods behind them, and they were advised to just get the 2 gates and they were ok with that. Then, they found out their neighbor wanted a privacy vinyl fence and so one whole side did not be needed. They got a fence installed with only a bar at the top and bottom, which looks much plainer and was NOT what they asked for or what they were quoted, and were sent a bill for the whole job as originally quoted. They had to call and they took only $2,000 off. This doesn't make sense as they didn't have to install a whole side and used a cheaper fence panel. My parents paid the bill anyways. I feel terrible for referring them to my parents who now live on a limited income. Please beware when using this company.

Tried to get a quote and Ray text me. No phone call, just texts. Refused to do measurements and refused to provide a written estimate unless i was willing to sign a contract right then. Didn't listen to anything I said or rather read it since he couldn't be bothered to make a phone call. What an unprofessional person to have representing your company and a very poor way to do business.

I called them up and they said they only do commercial fencing. I still had a representative call me do commercial fencing I said great! That's exactly what I want. Once I gave her our MLK Address she then said it would be January for residential when early on she said they didn't do residential and commercial fencing would be 5 to 6 months. I find it hard to believe that their sale people go 6 months without pay. Maybe they need to hire more people. Lol

We had a great experience with empire. They showed up when they said they would, were very courteous and the work speaks for itself. It’s perfect and we could not be happier. And they were about $500 cheaper than the other quotes we had.

I used Empire twice to install 2 custom steel and bronze gates. The welds on the first gate were unacceptable (images H and image I) and had to be removed and rewelded. Empire also destroyed the custom steel and bronze gate which had to be rebuilt. I waited over a year for Empire to come to install the second gate with no fewer than 11 appointments! The second gate was wildly mis-measured and was installed with the left opening measuring 6" and the right opening measuring 1½". (Image L and image R).
Empire told me that it was "customary to have a wider opening on the left".
