Very helpful people, very high end merchandise, but why buy cheap doors? Put them in once and be done.

I only gave them five stars because when I was working there the reviews were down to one star and they asked employees to rate SEDW five stars to undo their mess… aka giving poor service to their customers

We had our front doors replaced well over 4 years ago. Just beautiful, but within a couple of months, the sealant started to bubble and flake off. Called them and reported it. Sent pictures, etc. Finally someone came out and agreed they needed to go back to the factory. It was almost 4 months before they came out and replaced them. The stain didn't exactly match the original frame, but we were willing to live with that. Less than two months later, the same thing happened again. The third set did no better, so SDW ordered another pair, stained them in house, and brought them out and installed them. It’s been over 4 years, and they are still beautiful!! Thank you SDW for not giving up until it was right!!

This past year Southeastern Door & Window replaced our less-secure French doors on the front of our house with a single, solid, alder-wood door with a speak-easy. In addition to our new front door, they also replaced all of our original 20-year-old windows with smooth-operating vinyl, dual-pane impact resistant windows. I cannot say enough about the team of professionals that made this project happen. Stephanie was a pleasure to work with and took care of the entire project, from carefully measuring our old windows and door, to staying on top of material delivery dates and keeping me informed about when her team of technicians could be expected to be at my house. We did have a couple of glitches during the install but Stephanie quickly fixed things and kept the projects on track. It did take several months for our door and windows to arrive but they were all custom made to fit our house, so I had no problem with that. In fact, all of our new windows and door fit precisely, a direct result of the extremely careful measuring Southeastern did at the start of the project. I would happily hire Southeastern Door and Window in the future. I also have a neighbor, Kent - he had his windows replaced a couple of years ago by Southeastern and he is still very happy with his windows. I've attached a couple of photos to give you an idea of how things turned out. My wife and I especially love our new front door. Bob in Woolmarket

The 5 gallon bucket that is the operations manager is a joke. I promise you, they don’t care about customers nor employees. If your looking to do business with SEDW, I beg you to look for other companies that treat the installers of the product that you buy just as good as they do the sales reps that sold you the product. There are FEW people here that do quality work. They are full of excuses. They deserve some of these bad reviews because I’ve been on site where misfortune happens and they lie to the home owner to pass fault from the company. Don’t talk to sales reps about the install. TALK TO THE MEN THAT ARE ACTUALLY DOING THE WORK. Thanks. Be well! :)

Great windows and decent installation. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! If you need to talk to someone for anything, don't bother calling. Nobody will return your call. You have to walk in.
I had siding that wasn't re-installed quite right. They missed a fastener and it came loose. The siding wasn't easy to get and replace. The wind was getting worse so I needed them to come out and fix it ASAP. If it would have ripped off they would have had to replace all my siding to make it match. Someone there didn't care...I had to climb on the roof and fix it myself with vertigo issues ? ?
I will never use them again...

Called Southeaster a few years ago to replace a large dining room window. The initial experience was not bad, they came out measured the window, made the window within a few weeks, and delivered the window. Since we were not ready to install because that was at the time my office I could not relocate at the time. So over the last year now that we have relocated the office we are ready to have the window installed. We are beginning to think that someone didn't make the window correctly because they have been giving us the run around for almost a year now. With excuses like oh this person quit and this person has been sick. Finally after months of calling they send a guy out. Bobby came out to verify the measurements and give an estimate. He told us it was a half day install and would cost $750 which was a little more than original quote of $650, but all good we understand everything has gone up. Well two weeks later of course we hear nothing from them so my wife calls. She speaks with a woman there and she tells my wife well its going to be $1,500 and we can't get out there until September.
Just such a terrible way to do business. I've worked with a lot of people in construction all over the country and this right here is by far one of the worst experiences. Would never recommend Southeaster!!!

Enlisted this business to replace a door and windows on my house. Took about a year to get the door and windows in. They never ordered the screens that were on the contract so that took another 3 months to come in AND I had to follow up every 2 weeks. Shannon kept telling me they have everything in the system and that they would contact me as soon as they arrive but they changed their system and some point and my screens were in the warehouse for weeks without anyone noticing or contacting me. They only looked when I said enough is enough - otherwise, they would have happily taken my money and walked off into the sunset. They kept blaming everything on covid - 1.5y into it. Truth is, they just took bigger projects.
The windows look great from the inside looking out but the trim work on the exterior needs attention. The installers cut the trim about an inch short. I called SouthEastern months ago to look at the shotty work - a guy came out and agreed it needed to be redone but I haven't heard from them since Halloween (which is going on 3 months as of time of writing). I called several times but can NEVER get a hold of anyone to address this problem. I also requested quotes for several other door/window projects but never heard back. I found another contractor to replace the remainder and he was really great to work with - DM if you want a reference. If you're a homeowner just looking to make improvements on your home, you DO NOT want to use this company. Maybe they're good for contractors or builders - def not for homeowners.
2 windows (Anderson Architectural) cost approx. $11K and the door was around $5K. So, 2 windows and 1 door - this is not the type of work or service I would expect when purchasing premium products.
1 star for the windows, 1 star for the door
After all these months, the crew finally came back to redo the trim and I'm revising my rating b/c of that. It would be 3.5 stars but, you know, can't give half a star here.

Southeastern just got finished with my install and it turned out great. After our sales guy left for another opportunity, Jennifer, the operations manager personally took on our account and kept us informed on the window and door delivery schedule to the absolute best of her ability. There were supply chain issues with the window manufacturer that we chose (PGT) but it was out of Southeastern's control. Couldn't be happier with them as a company, always professional and courteous and so was the install team. Would recommend them for sure!
