I called and left a message and he called me back promptly. I explained the issue with my Samsung refrigerator. He was very familiar with this particular model and even mentioned it was involved in a class action lawsuit. He told me what to do to possibly get 6 more months out of it as the real issue for this model cannot be fixed. He wouldn’t let me pay him anything for this information. I have saved his number and he will be the only call I make if I ever have any other appliance issues.

I have used Coast Appliance for a few years and was always pleased with the service until now. Steve came to my home, diagnosed the problem with our dryer then left telling me the part may not be available. Nothing but crickets since. I’ve called, left messages and sent texts with no reply. How hard is it to text back? Call me back? I would not recommend Coast Appliance Repair.

Called Steve (owner) of Coast Appliance Repair to look at a Mini-fridge installed at my wet bar. Steve is a neighbor of mine so I figured I'd call him up and have him take a look at it. He came over two days later and looked at the fridge and in 5 minutes determined the thermostat was out. He went to his truck and in another 5 minutes he came back in and said the manufacturer discontinued the part and it was unavailable anywhere and there was nothing he could do. I asked him if he could make a replacement work and he said something about it being a rare kind and it wasn't possible. He then said I owed him $100 for a service call, which I paid, and off he went. After he left the house my wife asked me if he gave us any options to fix the fridge. I said no and then I started to think about it and my blood started to boil. He was here a total of 15 minutes and did absolutely nothing to help my situation and charged way too much for what little he did do. But here's the real reason I'm writing this negative review. After he left my home I got online and found a generic thermostat on Amazon for $15. I bought and figured, at this point I didn't have much to lose. It came in today and I installed it and the fridge works like new! It appears that Steve at Coast Appliance, my neighbor, is interested more in fleecing his customers than actually spending time repairing appliances! I paid you good money Steve and you didn't even lift a finger to look for a solution to my problem! Shame on you for that! That's not how you treat customers and definitely not how you treat your neighbors! I will continue to tell this story to all who will listen!

Compton & Son referred by to this company to fix my broken dryer. I had to leave a message, but they called back within minutes. Steve was kind & upfront about pricing. The service fee was $99.95 to diagnose the problem. It would cost extra for parts to fix it & $25 for every 15 minutes of labor ($100/hr). Unfortunately, they are unable to come onto military bases so we couldn't use their service.
