Although hesitant at first (since their quote was much less than other suppliers), I was extremely pleased with Bacallao for my kitchen countertops (I installed Quartz). They have a huge inventory. Most countertop suppliers/installers in our area have a backlog of 2-8 weeks (after they measure and provide a quote). I received a quote the day after they came out and measured. Since the existing counters were in place when they measured, they wanted to take confirmatory measurements once they were removed (I assume, mainly due to my apron sink - measurements need to be precise). Once the existing counters were removed (4 working days later), they came out and measured the same day and installed that afternoon/evening! They are able to do this since they fabricate on site. They were very meticulous during the installation, insuring that all counters were level and seams were smooth. Rather than using shims like most installers, they actually installed strips of wood to the cabinets under the countertops to provide a much better support for the counters for cases where the floor is not level (like mine). I would definitely use them again.

Bacallao installed two counters for my client. Communication was consistent, the price was transparent, and they took responsibility for a measurement issue that made the process go smoothly. Installation was quick and on-time. I asked them to re-level a seam and they stayed to take care of it. They also cleaned up!

TERRIBLE company. Poor installation. Poor customer service. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. As you can see from the pictures, the “seal” that was applied to our granite doesn’t even cover the entire area. Hence, the reason why chunks of the granite are falling out of the granite. The “seal” they used mimics a piece of tape. The “granite” is extremely porous-more porous than “granite” is supposed to be-the finish is “spotty;” visible bubble patterns-not a smooth finish-as granite is supposed to appear. I reached out to the Owner-he asked that I send pictures of the chips and pictures of where the seal was/wasn’t visible. So I did-then he told me he would “send someone out to inspect and repair these issues-“for $175 an hour!! No thanks. Fix your mistake! We’ve had this granite for 12 months. DON’T deal with this company. They tell you what you want to hear-to make the sale. Then they’re done with you. I will be taking another route to rectify this problem.

I will not recommend this business to anyone. Extremely poor customer service overall. Doesn't care customer's request. For my case, we specifically told everyone that we have met, communicated in this company what we do not want to see in the finished countertops. They were lying through the whole before sales process, assuring us they will take care of it. Then here it is, the defect (they call Fissure) is right in the center of my kitchen countertops. When we tried to communicate back to the office for solution, guess what, they do not answer calls, emails... Seriously???
Their price is about couple of hundreds cheaper than others in the market, but comparing to the terrible buying experience you will go through, it is not worth at all. Buyer aware!!!

The countertops are absolutely beautiful, however; communication is horrible! You never know when they will show up because they don’t plan ahead or call you to notify you when they are coming. Also, I needed plumbing and electrical work done (sinks, garbage disposal) and I seriously doubt the guy they use is licensed because he left exposed wires and a complete mess under the sink. Similarly, the tear down was an absolute mess! I had to clean up as there was broken tile behind the fridge and in the cabinets and the bathroom sink leaked because he didn’t put the pipe on straight. He also showed up unprepared and had my husband go to Lowe’s at least 4 times to pick up materials. They still haven’t fixed the mess under the sink. Just know what to expect with this company.
