We were very pleased with our buying and installation experiences. We purchased two PowerView blinds to cover large sliding glass doors. They fit and operate perfectly! We did have a glitch after installation when our electrician finished the wiring after the blinds were installed as the power blinds did not work. Appalachian Blinds worked quickly and efficiently to determine the cause of the problem by working with our electrician (not affiliated with Appalachian Blinds) who initially installed a transformer with the incorrect voltage. The Appalachian Blinds installer returned promptly to install the correct transformer and things have been great! I recommend Appalachian Blinds for their sales support and installation!

We went with Appalachian Blind and Closet to install shades for our mountain house back in 2022. We had an excellent experience with everyone we interacted with for the sale and installation process. We recently called to schedule to have someone take a look at one of our window shades that was sagging unevenly on one side (1-2 inches near the top) - it was not a huge deal but a slight annoyance. We were scheduled within a week, which was great. We thought this would be covered under warranty, only to find out after the service that we now owe $160! We were disappointed by the disconnect in/lack of communication during scheduling that our warranty was no longer valid, and that there would be a charge for this service - I would have appreciated at the time of scheduling being informed along the lines of "we are happy to take a look at it, but we'd like to let you know that since this is no longer under warranty, we'll have to charge for a service trip and labor." The reality is that had we known that this slight adjustment (from our standpoint in terms of functionality and impact on our daily use) was going to cost so much, we likely would have waited to get it fixed until it was more serious.

So, this is all to say, I hope they can make an effort to bring the same level of experience during initial sale and install as for post-install servicing for future customers!

Top notch installation. Very happy with the awnings and they look great. However, the wait from ordering until install was terrible. 7 months. They do tell you the wait will be long but I didn't expect that long. But, if you're willing to wait, you get a locally made product and people that care about installing it correctly!!
