Jack and Pete were amazingly kind and willing to help us out when things went downhill with our first general contractor. They came on when the project was partway through and kind of a mess, and Pete was always calmly there to quickly answer any questions or help resolve any problems that came up. Definitely folks who are trustworthy, knowledgable, and care about their work and the community!

I have helped Gateway Building with many of their equipment and vehicle needs over the past several years. Jack and his staff run a very organized and professional business. It has been a pleasure to work with all of them over the years. I look forward to helping them with any future purchases. I have seen the many of the projects that they have completed and I am always impressed with the job that they do. They are a great company to work with and I would certainly recommend them.

Pete, Jack, Austin & the Gateway Team are nothing short of experts in an industry that’s (unfortunately) filled with folks that “fake it until they make it”

From their ability to aggressively buy out their Trade Partners’ packages, to the way they think outside the box when value engineering a client’s new space- Gateway’s approach to Owner/Architect/Contractor collaboration speaks volumes to their knowledge, experience and understanding of the regional commercial construction industry.

Finally, it should come as no surprise that the vast majority of Gateway’s Subcontractors & Clients are all repeat customers and/or partners. Because they treat others they way they want to be treated (both customer & tradesmen alike), it only makes sense that their projects routinely are delivered on time & under budget.

YES! I would highly recommend Gateway Building Co. for your next historic or commercial renovation, tenant improvement, or ground-up construction project.

Almost 10 years ago I worked with Jack Moore for the first time along with a client on a ground up construction project which was exciting and handled perfectly- Glenn kept things moving along and made us feel like that was his only project even though we knew it wasn't. Since then I've had the pleasure of working with Gateway in several different capacities, varying scales of remodels and became a client myself. Pete and Austin brought a fresh set of eyes and passion to the team that is unique and has been very interesting to watch while the company continues to grow. Gus will stop to help you with something and give great advice... I've experienced exceptional displays of not just experience but commitment from the entire team that keep me coming back and sending folks their way. Last, their dedication to Durham and its surrounding area/ resources hasn't gone unnoticed. When making choices like these, if you choose Gateway you're making a solid decision you will be really pleased with and proud of!

Gateway did the build out for J. Lights and working with Jack, Pete & Austin was an absolute pleasure. Building during a pandemic is never easy but when you work with solution-oriented people it makes the whole thing easier. I definitely plan to work with them again!
