Very pleased with the results and the look of the new roof.

James and his team delivered as promised. On time and exactly with the material given during the estimate. All the screws were drilled in line and uniform to each other. You can tell alot of care was taken to go the extra step to make sure the roof last as long as possible. The colored matches perfect to the metal roof on my shop. Really bringing them together.

The clean up work was awesome. They took extra care to make sure there were no nails left behind for my dog to step on. Highly recommended for sure

I desired a top of the line roof, reasonable cost and excellent service. Considered several companies and found James Brougham at Metal Roof NC. We now have a beautiful roof that I’m certain will serve us well for many years. Our experience could not have been any better. Thank you to James and his great crew.

Jim and his crew created a beautiful and unique look and finish for our roof.
Installed the Interlock musket gray slate over an existing asphalt roof.
Lots of valleys, multiple ridge lines, 4 skylights, some soffit and fascia repair and gutter remounting as well as new gutter guards. We are very pleased and expect to never have to replace a roof again.
With all of the rain in June and already in July 2023 all seems great and we think the metal roof with the thermal underpayment is actually quieter in the rain.
We definitely recommend!

This company is a blessing.
We have been needing to replace our roof and found James Brougham in Next Door Neighbor.
Which turns out he lives 10 minutes away. He was offering to do 5 low cost roofs in our area. We called and he came out and showed us the roofs he could install. He did not pressure us to make a quick decision and answered our questions accordingly. We decided to proceed, he helped us with a financing company and has been there every step of the way. I have always gotten to talk to a person not a recording. His team worked diligently on installing the roof even on Saturdays. We now have a beautiful roof and do not have to dread the rain. We are both grateful and thankful.

Another shout-out to James and his company for outstanding service! We have an Interlocking Metal Roof which we love -- with an unrelated problematic stone chimney inside the house that goes up through the roof that causes leakage inside.

A little more than a year ago we engaged James to help up diagnose the source of the leak. He responded right way, wanting to be sure it was not the roof. Which it was not! He set up a chimney guy who came right away an applied a chimney seal treatment and we all hope for the best.

That served us well for a year but the torrential rains this year pushed the limits. Leaking started again. I reached out to James again and he was on it right away to set up sealing treatment with Camilo who spent 3 hours tediously applying a seal to all concrete between the stones. However this time, we talked about a part of a more permanent solution that was missing: a proper chimney cap. My husband had built one out of concrete many years ago and it had failed - which we discovered last year.

We asked James if he could help us with that and within 2 days he manufactured and installed the chimney cap shown below. The cap was clearly a missing piece that needed to be addressed. Having someone able to take care of that so efficiently was invaluable. Bring on the rains!

It is always great to share a positive and well deserved review. Thanks James and Camilo.

Exactly the service we wanted. Clearly said what they would do and did what they said. Really appreciated the quality and work they did. We had both traditional shingle roof and a metal roof installed on the porch. House has never looked better. Was really nice that we only had to deal with one company for the entire project, they worked within our budget and provided great options to get what we wanted. They are not a storm chaser type company that is trying to rush and finish a job in day and then run away. Have not had any issues but if we did, we are very comfortable that with one call it would be addressed. Very pleased with the small skilled and pleasant crew. Never any push back and always polite and respectful. Highly recommend them.

I’m updating my previous review.
Mr. Brougham installed a metal roof on our house 2 years ago. It leaked twice a few months after installation, and he came to fix the problem. Because of these leaks on a brand new roof, we had a licensed roofing inspector examine the roof. He advised that it should be removed and predicted that further damage would occur within a few years as the product and installation were of poor quality as you can see from the pictures.
The roofing inspector’s prediction was accurate! Ugghh!
We had the Metal Roof NC installed roof replaced a few days ago. You can see in the picture extensive water damage to the roof deck – it leaked that bad. That’s just one area. Only 2 years and significant damage!
I learned too late that the product warranty (that does not match the contract I signed) only covers the paint on the panels, not the panels themselves.
_______________________________________________________
Hiring James Brougham, Everlast Improvements, dba Metal Roof NC, to replace our roof was the WORST decision. First, my signed contract states a product warranty of: “Lifetime, Limited Warranty, transferable, Non-prorated for materials BY manufacturer," but the agricultural grade(AG) panels installed only have a warranty of 40 yrs, for just the PAINT!

When Florence struck I didn't know the specifics of metal panels. If a business website & FB page says "Interlock" it's fair for laypeople to think that's what the sales person is talking about. The metal estimate was $1600 > than shingles, but I believed his spiel that spending extra $ now meant "never re-roof again." He even wrote the estimate on an Interlock card! Note: Metal Roof NC FB page didn't mention AG panels until 04/19.

Our contract also included installing a sun tunnel (provided by me), replacing/adding vents for toilet fans. We spent several weeks w/ sun tunnel domes “secured” (yes, ONE did LEAKED) by underlayment & tape because the workers couldn’t figure out how to install them.

The vent cap pictured was installed by James. A few days later in the bathroom cold water dropped on my head from a leak in my brand new roof.

Later when we referred to a Baker Roofing inspection about the sun tunnels being installed incorrectly, James blamed us b/c WE bought them, even though he, the so-called "roofing professional" installed them.
Listen, if I hire an electrician to install a fixture I purchase, but it's the wrong wattage, I expect them to TELL ME, not go ahead and install it.

> $7000 investment, no warranty on the panels w/2 leaks before it was 1 month old?

We did hire a licensed roofing contractor to inspect his work. The Baker Roofing inspector spent ~1 hr ON the roof & ANSWERING questions, followed up with a written report of his findings. A brand new metal roof installed so poorly that they recommended replacing it.

We sent James a copy & a letter asking him to honor the advertising for the product whose warranty is on our SIGNED contract. In response he scheduled an inspection from Triad Corrugated, w/ <24 hrs of notice. Neither of them would answer my wife's questions about the install. They were at my house for ~20 min., but they did not get on the roof (we asked for proof of insurance, he didn't show any), or even use binoculars.

Mr. Brougham insisted via email that Triad approved the installation, but I can't speak to that being true. Despite *repeated* requests he’s never provided me written documentation from Triad.

Months of him evading direct questions, and finally his best offer proposed replacing the panels affected by the vents & attempting to make the screws as square as possible. He doesn’t acknowledge ALL the other wrongness. We rejected this "offer" & a lawyer sent a letter that stated, among other things that they had “...installed the AG panel roof in a workmanlike manner pursuant to the Sales Agreement and pursuant to Triad Corrugated Metal, Inc.’s guidelines as well as Metal Roof NC’s long experience installing metal roofs.”

We recently had a metal shingled roof installed by Metal Roof NC. James and his crew were all very easy to work with, and James worked hard to help us find a product that we liked and that our HOA would approve. They were also very good about coordinating with the solar company.

Metal Roof NC is awesome and did two roofs for me on rental homes in Pittsboro.

I called Jimmy and he came out as scheduled and gave me a no hassle price. They came out when they said they would and dropped off the materials, then came back and replaced each roof in 2 business days. There were no surprises at all. One roof needed a couple of extra boards and they sent me pictures to let me know exactly why. Jimmy had told me ahead of time I could need those.

All old materials were placed into a dumpster and hauled away. There were no scraps or nails left in the yard, just a nice new roof installed on the house. Even the tenants in the house were shocked at how fast and professional the entire process went.

Jimmy also helped with color and shingle selection and told me all about the great metal roofs they install around central North Carolina. If the roofs were going on a permanent residence I definitely would have considered a metal roof.

One house had a moisture issue which was solved with the new roof install as they installed a ventilation shingle system which the house was lacking. So not only was the roof replaced, but it was made better. The house is now dry, cooler and will use less electricity. The seal around the chimney appears to be properly installed now too.

Jimmy came highly recommended to me by 2 separate people who had a metal roof installed and I see why. There's really absolutely nothing they could do differently.

Keep up the great work!
