I had set up movers 2 weeks before moving. However, they would not even answer the phone to set up a date and time. I decided to call Chet’s Transfer. They squeezed me in at the last minute!! They were lifesavers. Our U-Haul was too big for our stuff and we had a 6 hour move. They tied down all of my items so they didn’t fly around the truck. Everything made it to my new apartment safe and sound thanks to Chet’s transfer!

The movers were great. However, the owner is charging highway robbery. First of all, he almost double charged me in fuel surcharge, then charged me the extremely high hourly rate from the time they supposedly left the warehouse to my house. So I’m paying them for nothing. On top of this, they couldn’t come until Saturday, which was an extra $15 an hour, which was not my choice. This guy is making a killing. Hope he pays his help well.

Charging me from 8am when the guys didn't show up until almost 8:20 am. (All they had to do was drive a mile and a half to my house from their shop).
I did like the guys that did my move. They were hard working and polite.
If you are going to charge $105.00 an hour per guy, the time should start AFTER they get their smokes/coffee and show up to start work.

I am very impressed with Chets. They are very efficient. I had my move done in less than 2.5 hours with a 45 minute drive in there. They disassembled and reassembled my furniture as well in that time. They are friendly and professional. I highly recommend Chets.

Would not recommend. I cannot comment on their actual moving services, but when I called to check their availability to move some bigger pieces of furniture, the lady on the phone was very rude. She was very irritable when I didn't know the size of our trailer (which was irrelevant because I told her the pieces of furniture we needed help moving), and when I didn't know the exact address (we hadn't even closed on the house yet, and I wasn't that familiar with Kearney, and honestly had looked at so many houses, I couldn't remember the address off the top of my head. I was just checking their availability, and not necessarily ready to set up the appointment). She was very short with me, and finally said they she couldn't help me, and abruptly hung up on me! In her defense, she did call back to apologize. Not sure if this is normal treatment or if I just caught her on a really bad day.
