We hired Dream Home Developers (DHD) to do a gut renovation and extension of our existing home, and we couldn't be happier with the result. Working with the plans drawn up by Marios (a great architect sharing the same office with DHD), they took our house down to the studs, extended the foundation to push the house out, modified the layouts of the living areas and rooms, and replaced all the plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.

Dream Home Developers are not only great builders, but also great communicators. The father-son team of Chris and Eric was always responsive, professional, and transparent. They provided us with a detailed project plan and a budget/costs spreadsheet that we reviewed together every week to make sure everything was on track. They also had great relationships with their subcontractors, who were skilled, reliable, and respectful. DHD were able to schedule different crews working at the same time, which made the project progress faster. The entire project was estimated to be completed in 9-10 months, but they were able to complete the project in only 7 months! Who has ever heard of that in the construction business!?

Dream Home Developers with Chris and Eric were more than just contractors – we are like family now. They treated our home and our project as if it were their own, and they went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with every aspect of the work. They also gave us valuable advice and suggestions along the way and helped us overcome any challenges or issues that arose. They truly delivered our dream home, and we would highly recommend them to anyone looking for professional, trustworthy, and reliable builders.

We did a full renovation and large addition (added a 2nd floor and gutted the entire first) to our Glen Rock home and their vision and execution of our project exceeded my wildest expectations. They stayed on schedule, within budget and the quality of their work is best in class. They were consultative, honest and hard working and I would use them for any future projects. Eric's interior design eye was such a value add throughout the entire project and the house would have never come together as flawlessly without his stylist ideas and attention to the details .

We hired DHD to do a kitchen renovation (inclusive of wood floor replacement) for our apartment.
Let's get past the fact that this project was to be completed in mid September but was just now (12/12/2022) completed.
Let's get past the fact that I was presented with a contract (by Ted) which detailed the scope of work and payment schedule and I while I adhered to the payment schedule, Ted was seeking partial last payment when the contract specified that the last payment was due upon the COMPLETION of the project.
Let's get past the fact that they installed my self cleaning oven SANS air upper and/or lower air intake (the installation manual detailed this). This simply means that should I use the "self cleaning" function and it does not have the air intakes, the oven will overheat, automatically shut off, and damage the surrounding areas, not to mention, void your warranty.
Here is what I cannot get past. On several occasions, I had a guy come to the apartment to fix issues and each time, he was argumentative or made the issue worse (like using his house keys to fix a cabinet shelf).
There was an issue of having 2 different colors of grout on the bathroom floor tiles done back in 2018. (ironically, the contractor that did that blunder also had "Dream" in the name - Dream House Home Improvements). I wanted to see if they could fix that - make it all one color at least. I was told that was not a problem and they would do it free of charge.
Please look at these pictures and let me know if you believe this is a good grout job or if it looks like a kid took some spackle and just tacked it onto the grout space and now it just looks perpetually dirty.
Today was the final day (also the day in which I presented the last payment). I noticed that the caulk around the bathtub was coming off (another stand up job by Dream House Home Improvements) and thought it was a VERY simple ask to have the tub re-caulked.
Well.... you take a look and judge for yourself.
