I received a cost estimate from Custom Stucco and Construction for repairing a support post on a balcony roof, patching the house exterior stucco and painting the house exterior the end of 2023. The estimate listed services to be provided and the cost of $19,500. This contractor aggressively pursued me as they were between jobs. I entered into the agreement on Jan 2, 2024 and provided $10,000 down payment. They declared the job completed on Jan 12, 2024 and I paid the remaining amount owed. Since that time I have discovered many deficiencies that are listed below with photos. Attempts to contact the contractor by phone has been rejected and a certified letter sent to them was not signed for.
1. The balcony roof was not raised to proper height for water to drain off the roof.
2. Several areas on the parapets and siding were not patched with stucco.
3. The patched stucco was not allowed to properly cure and the lime in the stucco is bleeding through the new paint.
4. Over spray from the paint gun was allowed to contaminate the paint on the garage doors.
5. The roofing membrane on the roof was damaged in several places compromising the water proofing of the roof.
6. Spilled stucco at the base of the parapets was left on the roofing membrane, removal may further damage the roofing membrane.
7. The overall quality of the stucco patching was not what would be expected form a professional.

It has been almost 2 years and they still have not finished the work. They don't answer their phone and mail box is full. There is no way yo reach them. Work is not supervised. We had a contractor out who said they missed alot when we were told the stucco was complete. They cut the lines to outdoor lighting. They left stucco all over the TREX deck which still has not come off. They did not cover the windows and stucco water is all over upstairs windows which is near impossible to remove. They got stucco all over iron rails which will need to be scraped off and pre-painted. I don't know how they got a good rating. Maybe friends posted. This work was not good and BBB is not helpful in resolving this problem.

He came out and gave me an estimate on the very next day. The price quote was sent on Monday and when the work was complete we were so impressed with the results.
