I highly recommend Dennis! I recently had an outlet fire in my house and decided to finally upgrade my old aluminum wiring with the AlumiConn connectors. Dennis responded to my email very quickly and talked me through the whole process of upgrading the wiring throughout my house. He was able to complete the entire project while we were away on vacation, which was amazing. Dennis is extremely knowledgeable and does everything by the book. I am a disabled Veteran, NMARNG Servicemember and homeowner in Old Town Albuquerque, NM. I need to upgrade my electrical service and would like to support Veteran-owned businesses. So, I called Defined Electric to get an estimate on upgrading from 100-200 amp electrical box. Dennis answered and I told him about my project, introduced myself and explained how I’ve been researching different possibilities for my situation. He seemed to be very defensive, cut me off when I was talking, and did not give me a clear answer when I explained what I want/need, and I was taking notes. What has happened to patience and respect and compassion among fellow citizens? Yes, you are the contractor with the supposed knowledge about code and legal regulations, but I am the homeowner who knows about MY situation/home, with my own knowledge gained from research, other professionals, and experience. Blindly discounting the customer’s/homeowner’s knowledge, vision, and needs merely because someone else has a license is a dangerous, slippery slope and NOT great professionalism. I feel belittled and disrespected after my short phone call with Dennis. I will NOT be contacting Defined Electric in the future. What a shame.

I was calling many places as I needed someone immediately, Defined Electric didn't answer and so I moved on. Quite a while later I received a text message with no name, so I asked who they were, and there response was very unprofessional. I looked up and compared the phone numbers and realized that this was the place that text me. Conversation is as follows: DE: Hello I'm unavailable to speak on the phone right now, could you text me pictures, address, & details of work you need done for electrical quote. Thank you. Me: Hello, who is this? DE: You called me simpleton. Me: That's definitely the way to get business. I've called several places today, and you are defiantly not I'll go with. DE: What does that matter you don't even know who you called. Please post but if you do post it all ok, go away now fruitcake. I'm blocking you. It's interesting how the other reviews mention professionalism because that is mostly certainly not seen here. Update: apparently my review was seen, as they have now threated me through text. I have reported the threat to the police.

Dennis is extremely professional, and always gets back to me right away. He quickly figured out an issue with my ceiling fan and wiring that a previous owner had done. He educated me on the best ways to deal with my old aluminum wiring. I highly recommend him!
