Several contractors wanted me to install a new roof. Devin of Gonzales & Sons, said my roof just needed to be maintained. No ponding, good slope. Much smaller job to just do maintenance than an entire new roof. This small job was promptly scheduled, done on time and well. When I do need a new roof, the only call I will make is to Gonzales & Sons!

Called to schedule an estimate and the receptionist was able to schedule one about two weeks out. No problem here. The time came and went for the estimate with no phone call or message or anything notifying me they were running late or not going to show. Then I hear a knock on my door about an hour and a half after the scheduled time while me and my family are in the middle of dinner, with this man who didn’t introduce himself giving me some excuse that he had a job in Santa Fe and that’s why he was running late. “Ever heard of a phone call?”, I was thinking. I allowed him to take a look at my roof anyway, because everyone makes mistakes, forgive and forget and all that. He said he’d email me an estimate later that night and still waiting for it the next day. Needless to say I won’t be going with this company. If they're this unprofessional with how they handle initial estimates it scares me to think what mistakes they’ll make or corners they’ll cut with my roof. No thanks. Not impressed.

Mark and Elijah are both very professional talking to me over the phone. I had a hard time finding the roofers who are willing to work with a tile roof. I was shocked to hear they would not mind driving 4 hr to come from Albuquerque to Roswell for the estimate for an average residential roof for no charge. Elijah came all the way to Roswell to inspect and give me the quote on tile roof repairs.

I live in a rental and the management company chose Gonzales and Sons Roofing, Inc to fix the ever leaking roof. To be real: it was loud and dusty and rust kept falling from all the inside vents. But in three days they replaced the roof of a 26 unit apartment complex AND THEN they came back and cleaned our porches and walkways and parking lot. My Xfin line was cut and Mark from Gonzales called me immediately to remediate that situation. Did they fix the roof? I'll let you know when it next rains or snows. I wrote this review to highlight their professionalism. Stuff happens, mistakes are made and it is refreshing to see a business take responsibility for their employees and the mess that is made during construction projects. Thank you Mark and Gonzales and Sons Roofing, Inc for being an ethical, responsible business.

Had Gonzales and sons replace our roof two years ago. It has been nothing but problems since we have had 3 leaks do to roof nails being outside shingle coverage. The gutter guy showed up two days late with no call just showed up randomly with an attitude raising his voice to my wife when asked why he didn’t show up when he was scheduled. Now that we are selling they say they have no record of doing the work. I don’t blame them I wouldn’t want my name on anything they did either. It has been two weeks and no call back!

This was our first re-roofing experience and I cannot offer enough praise for Gonzales and Sons Roofing for their professionalism, excellent quality work, and very responsive nature to all my detailed questions. We replaced our 30 yo tar and gravel roof with the new tech TPO membrane. Finding a company that specializes in installing this new technology is critical for long-term satisfaction and Gonzales and Sons definitely has the knowledge and skill to manage this new technology. Installation was perfect, all seams and connections were secure and weatherproofed. Skylights and vent pipes were carefully wrapped and secured, and all canales were fully covered. The crew was great and took the time to explain and show me how they installed the material, especially how they ensure proper sloping of the material to maximize water diversion into the canales. Clean-up after the job was perfect; no trace of material or debris left behind, either on the roof or the ground. We will definitely contact Gonzales and Sons if we ever need roofing work in the future.
