This review is long overdue and it's my pleasure to recommend Big guys Movers of Las Cruces, NM. I have used their services for two long-distance moves, one local move and long-term storage over the past two years.

I was referred to Big guys Movers by a close friend who knew I would be relocating from Rio Rancho NM to Las cruces NM. I needed a team of trustworthy professionals to move my family to our new home and I grew tired of looking at companies from afar.

I connected with Jesus of Big guys Movers to conduct a virtual assessment of my move and was immediately impressed with his expertise and professionalism. It cannot be easy to set up and stage a move of one's home by phone and he nailed it. Jesus met with me on multiple occasions by phone to ensure that we had accounted for the appropriate square footage of my home and to assess the number of staff we'd need to make the move happen. I appreciated how thorough Jesus was and the time he took to walk me through every step of the moving process.

On moving day, the team arrived on time and immediately got to work. The team took special care to wrap all my furniture with moving blankets and protected all of the larger items giving me confidence that they'd arrive safely at their destination.

After arriving in Las Cruces, the team quickly got to work, staging boxes and furniture where I needed everything placed making move-in a breeze. This was tremendously helpful because I was moving into my place without help from friends or family and it made the whole process extremely easy, and the team was very efficient.

Two years later, I decided to pack my entire home and store everything with Big guys Movers as I learned that they also provided long-term storage. As I was I was about to embark on a 12-month around-the-country trip, I needed a place to store my belongings and the team came through for me again.

I worked with Jesus to arrange a moving date and an estimate of the number of storage containers I'd need to pack my house away for a year. Once again, Jesus was an expert in estimating how much labor I'd need for the move and was spot on with estimating how much storage space was needed. He's truly great at what he does.

The moving team arrived again and got to work and was extra conscientious about wrapping all of my furniture, TVs and lighting very well to ensure long-term storage wouldn't be a problem for my belongings because I really didn't know how long I'd be on the road. This is highly important when I cover the last part of my review.

Jesus then coordinated the onsite delivery of my shipping trailer, the labor to pack the container taking all of my belongings out of storage and packed the trailer in a way that he and his team saved me $1,300 on my moving expenses because they were so precise with their packing in the trailer. Jimmy also made sure that my items were secured and had his staff mail me a key to my lock (which I didn't even think about) and it arrived at my new home well before the trailer arrived.

Now, here's the real kicker. My entire three-bedroom apartment in California was packed in such a way that nothing was damaged. Nothing at all. I unpacked boxes with fine china, and glassware and unwrapped all of my furniture and everything was in perfect shape after long-term storage and a long-haul move. If that isn't a testament to the care that Best Moving provides then I don't know what is.

I'd highly recommend Jesus and the team at Big guys Movers. I've recommended Big guys Movers to my mother and another friend who made a similar move from California to Arizona, and both were equally thrilled with the service provided. I'd give 10 stars to the team if I could.

If I could give these movers zero stars I would. I have not done many reviews of local businesses but when the service is so poor I really felt like I must because I wanted to make sure that others are forewarned. This is not a professional moving company. They walked through our house and gave us an estimate and the final cost was many thousand dollars more than what they estimated. They denied that we asked them to move all our things and did not allot enough time to move all our things before the closing on our house. If we personally did not pack for 10 hours a day both days of the move which we did not plan for on due to medical issues, we would have had to stay in the house longer and owe money to the new owners and potentially face legal issues. They kept on asking “Is this going?” for every item even though we explained that everything must go. They charged us the same rate an hour for packing when 2 people were working as when 5 or 6 people were working. They worked so slowly that we had to pack many of our things ourselves as fast as possible even though we contracted for them to pack and move the entire home. The communication was so bad that it seemed deliberate. They kept on asking the same questions over and over again. When they moved our things I actually saw them handling things roughly and there were several things broken. Dishes were just placed in boxes without wrapping them up. I don’t know how much damage I will find in the other end. Finally when the move was “completed” which was hours after the closing, we were lucky enough to have the new owners let us walk through the house. These are only some of the photos of the things left behind. Almost every drawer had several items left behind. We had to buy more expensive packing materials and rent a larger trailer to get the stuff that they left behind in the house which included art work, my wedding dress, electronics. Do not use this company! You will regret it.
