Over the winter my dock sustained some damage and lost its foam floatation. I contacted several dock contractors to affect repairs but none were as professional and responsive as John at Reeves Creek Marine.
John is extremely knowledgeable in all phases of marine construction and a pleasure to work with.
Would highly recommend anyone needing dock or marine services make Reeves Creek Marine your first call.

John Reeve is a highly experienced marine contractor who helped prepare the detailed engineer plans necessary to protect our property. John’s plans included a structurally sound marine seawall coupled with a rock revetment.
John and his company, using the rock revetment strategy, placed a series of quarry rock in a pyramidal fashion to prevent erosion and stabilize the shoreline. While performing this work, they were highly professional, well educated in environmental shoreline erosion control and extremely responsive.
We are beyond satisfied with the work completed,
and no longer stress the possibility of erosion of our property. We highly recommend Reeves Creek Marine Construction, Inc. if you are encountering a similar situation.

Reeves Creek marine built a seawall and a bulkhead for me, and I watched him build a seawall and bulkheads for 3 neighbors in Crab Meadow, Northport. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, difficulty getting his equipment to the work sites, and in one case finding a buried cement wall that had to be removed before building a bulkhead, he kept his word and got the work done. The results are excellent.
This is a company that reflects the attitude of its owner, for whom getting the job done well is more important that just completing the work.
I recommend this company without reservation.

I recently had an issue with the galvanized pole at the end of my dock on Peconic Bay Boulevard in Jamesport. After about 10 years, the 2.5" pole finally rotted at the mudline and bent over. I was not sure where to turn in order to have a new pole installed. I googled Dock Builder and Reeves Creek Dock Building was the first I called as they were local. John Reeves Jr. The owner got back to me right away. He suggested to go with a 3" galvanized pole with a 4" PVC pipe with cap over the top. He was very reasonable with the cost and a pleasure to work with. He had the new pole installed very quickly and 100% to my satisfaction. I highly recommend Reeves Creek for all your dock issues. Thanks John for your help to repair our dock properly. Ron Heeman

Living on the Long Island’s bays, creeks and estuaries can be delightful, but Mother Nature’s fury can be destructive. Waterfront property requires special consideration when repair or new construction is required. I have a home on a creek and have seen the harsh winter environment destroy property up front. I interviewed several contractors and soon realized this type of work required someone who has specialized skills in marine construction and also well versed in local laws, regulations and permits.
I chose Reeve’s Creek Dock Building of Riverhead NY. He has been in the marine construction business for many years. When comparing the materials used, design and consideration of the environment to others, I realized this was the contractor I wanted to work on my property. During the process Reeve’s Dock Building was both respectful and knowledgeable of the local maritime environment and current DEC/town codes. The planning stage took time as permits were required, construction materials determined and style. Reeve’s was very instrumental and patient in helping in all of these areas. Reeve’s uses only high quality marine construction materials required to stand up to Mother Nature. While always considering our preferences, he steered us toward the best material to stand up to the harsh environment. Although town requirements were challenging, he was instrumental in helping to make the process a little easier.
We are ready for another project. Realizing it has been more than 7 years since Reeve’s built our dock and catwalk, we immediately knew who we should call. When you require maritime construction, I highly recommend contacting John Reeve of Reeves’s Dock Building.

I had a problem with my floating dock & ramp coming off the poles, due to Hurricane Sandy`s storm surge. John came to my house lifted my floating dock off my bulkhead & reset the dock & ramp. This was the weekend after the storm, as you know dock builders are very busy after a storm like Sandy. John is a gentleman he said he would do what he could to help. John is a man of his word. John refused money for his work, John said since he built the dock a few years ago it was no charge. I would recommend Reeves creek dock for all your dock building needs !!!
