I had an amazing experience with the Closet Factory team led by designer Lena Lalvani. My consultations were efficient creative and collaborative. The team that measured and installed were prompt friendly and efficient. The company kept me in the loop and gave me reasonable windows and followed up for feedback-twice! The quality of material is a high.

Somehow there is more room in my closet than there was before! My kids get out of the apartment quickly now that they can find their shoes!

The whole process took few months, and $10k
1. First red flag was when they said they send the CIO to my building but they didn’t and when they got here, the building didn’t allow them to perform any work.

2. My closet factory designer messed up the measurements by 22” (made it bigger), had to send it back to redo the whole thing, waited a month, they came back and the whole thing has scratches, uneven gaps and doesn’t make any sense. (The designer was trying to put the blame on me saying that the this measurements were in contract and it’s my fault that I signed it like this.)

3. One of the built in lights wasn’t turning on after a week, so I called the customer service and waited 2 weeks, took a day off from work and nobody showed up. When I called the company, they said they “forgot” to make the appointment, now after another week the mecanic is here right now but he didn’t bring the right sensor replacement for the lights and have to go back and do it another time.

We worked with this company quite a few years ago and after seeing their commercials recently, I felt compelled to write a review because what is being shown in their commercials was not our experience at all and I feel I should let people know. The salesperson came to our apartment and we discussed doing an installation for our front closet, bedroom closet as well as a separate laundry closet. It all sounded wonderful. The installation however, was not so wonderful. A young guy who seemed very inexperienced showed up to do the installation. I left for a few minutes and when I came back, he had begun to install the laundry closet on the wrong wall and had cut into our base boards. In the front closet, they tore out the baseboards and left cracks. Not only did it look awful, water bugs came crawling through the cracks on a constant basis. The lower part of the closet for shorter jackets was installed with a bar that didn't fit properly and holders that kept coming loose with the weight of the jackets. I finally had to glue the holders but the rod isn't the correct size. Luckily, it is just long enough so the jackets stay in place. The shelf above was jammed into a metal screw to stay in place. Thankfully, this is covered by coats above.The bedroom closet organizer did look good. We had to hire a contractor to fix the mess the Closet Factory employees made of our apartment. When we went to the company for a discount due to the stress and monetary loss, they told us there would be no compensation and that everything was done as we had previously discussed. It was not. Disappointing experience and I would never recommend the Closet Factory to anyone. After viewing their latest marketing, I do hope they are living up to their ads and have made some changes since we used their services.
