G.H.I. recently remodeled my bathroom. The attention to detail and quality of work was outstanding. I would definitely use their services again. Five stars!

Don’t use these guys. They are a scam. They take your deposit and then never show up when they saiy they will and when you ask for your deposit back they come up with excuse after excuse why they haven’t sent it. Check out the stories on the Better Business Bureau’s website. It seems this is a pattern of behavior. We are reporting them to the authorities but please save your self the headache and find a reputable contractor.

Proceed with Caution Regarding Alex Gregg:
Our experience with Alex Gregg resulted in significant financial losses exceeding $200,000 USD. Initially attracted by positive Yelp reviews and Gregg’s courteous demeanor, we failed to scrutinize the negative feedback. Here is a detailed, objective account of our experience:
Engagement Details: We contracted Gregg Home Improvements, led by Alexander Gregg, in November 2021 for a complete renovation of our Greenwich Village apartment, with a contract amount exceeding $250,000. We paid 50% upfront as agreed.
Issues Encountered:
• Delays and Mismanagement: Gregg requested an additional 30% of the contract amount to expedite labor but left the apartment in disarray for seven months due to delays in permit filing.
• Fabricated work progress:
o Debris was cleared, but construction work never started even after the permits were approved, but Gregg claimed that 90% of electrical work was completed, and that workers had been regularly showing up to continue construction.
• Fabricated Expenses: We discovered that Gregg’s breakdown of expenses was largely falsified. Claims included:
o A $24,500 expense for flooring, which was actually only a $1,000 deposit.
o Exaggerated costs for architect and engineer services.
o Unverified purchases of appliances.
o Inflated labor costs.
Resolution Attempts: Despite promising a refund for most of the payments, Gregg has not fulfilled these promises over more than a year. Additionally, we have incurred further costs in rent/mortgage due to the prolonged renovation, totaling over $100,000.
Legal Actions: Complaints filed with the New York Attorney General revealed that Gregg was unlicensed at the time of contract signing. We have a potential case involving dishonest business practices and fraud. We encourage others with similar experiences to consider pursuing legal action or a class action suit.
Conclusion: Avoid repeating our mistakes. Conduct thorough due diligence and be wary of superficial positive impressions.

Alex and his team did an outstanding job replacing my roof and waterproofing the exterior of my home. Rubel and Abdoul, the Project Managers, were professional and efficient, ensuring everything was completed to the highest standard. The new roof looks amazing, and I’m confident my home is well-protected. Highly recommend Alex and his crew!

Great company for roof replacing and waterproofing in NYC! My loft in the village had a horrible roof, and every estimate I called gave me a outrageous quote and said they couldn't get started until next year.
I called Greg Home Improvements and was immediately connected to the owner Alex who gave me low quote and sent out his two best men Rubel and Abdoul to look at my roof, gave me the best quote and started the next week. They finished the project quickly and were super professional. I recommend them to everyone.
