Would not recommend Beeline Floors. We had to have another company out following Doug's work to completely redo 3,000 sf of flooring. At first glance the floors looked beautiful, but my partner quickly noticed the product had been applied incorrectly (visible spots from previous color samples that were more noticeable in certain lighting). Doug did not display confidence that he knew how to fix this, therefore, we decided to consult others in the industry to get advice on the issue. Every professional we had out said the floors had been done incorrectly.

When we asked Doug about this, he quickly became defensive and hostile. In his correspondence to us, he was rude and unprofessional. He attacked us personally, referencing God, his opinion on vaccines, and my partner's career in the medical field. He became truly unhinged. So much so, we decided to cut our losses and move on from such an upsetting experience.

There were moments throughout the job that contributed to our decision to move on from Doug that are worth mentioning. This includes several examples of carelessness (e.g., window trim had been damaged with a sander - which he tried to repair but is still visible, a custom door was accidentally tipped over and remains cracked). The other thing we felt uneasy about was coming home one day to find Doug using our washing machine. He later asked to use it and we agreed, but thought this was initially, quite odd.

The lack of confidence in resolving the issue, his odd behavior and quick change in tone was surprising to us and made us lose trust in his quality of work. That said, we did not feel comfortable allowing him back into our home. Our lack of trust in him to fix the issue definitely upset him, especially when we did not feel it was right that we were to take on the costs associated with his mistake. At that point, we just wanted to have the floors corrected by someone we did feel confident in.

My partner and I were excited to move into our new home. I can honestly say that Beeline flooring negatively influenced what was supposed to be a joyous moment for us. It has taken me well over a year to post this review because the experience has been so upsetting - emotionally and financially. I simply leave this review to warn others and to make my peace with the situation the best I can.

Edit: Doug, I do not appreciate being accused of lying. We felt you were out of line and unprofessional in your responses to us. I suppose we have different points of view on the situation and that is what it is.
As far as choosing a color, I was not under the impression that there was a timeline. You told us to let you know when we made a decision so I’m confused by your comments. Also, you were properly paid for your work so using the term “non-payment” is not at all accurate. I hope that you do evaluate how you conduct business and more importantly, how you treat your customers going forward.

Doug and his crew repaired and refinished hardwood floors in our nearly 100-year-old project house. Floors had been damaged and neglected for decades, and I wouldn't be exaggerating to say the results achieved are remarkable. Many (over 50) boards had to be replaced and now that the floors are finished, it all blends beautifully. We couldn't be more pleased with the results.

Doug and his crew refinished out living room floor about 2 years ago and 2 years later we are still impressed every time we enter the room. We have been hesitating redoing our Master bedroom, upstairs hallway and stairs as it takes a lot coordinating and we needed a major repair done. Doug took his time and laid out a plan to assure we wouldn't have a lot of worry about the preparation, process or the repair. We knew we could trust in him as he exceeded our expectations by far when completing our living room. Doug tied in about 10 sq ft of flooring to existing (We had a spot that was plywood) and it looks so natural. They replaced a step that was split and I can't even tell that it is not original. Doug even fixed my front door that would not latch and always blew open (I didn't even say anything. I just heard him working on it and then it was just fixed). Now, we are on the other side of the upstairs being refinished and yet again Beeline Floors has gone above and beyond on this project. The floors and steps look amazing and make things so much more like home.
