Let me preface this experience with the fact that my father was a house painter for 40 years, and I worked with him for a couple years while going to college in the early 70’s. So, I have some “perspective.”

When my mother’s house needed painting, and some minor repair, I went looking for a company that could do small concrete work and carpentry work prior to the painting. I decided to go with CertaPro because the estimator was thorough and very communicative, assuring me the crew could take care of the repair work - and, for a fair price (my mother is on social security).

So, after reading up on the reviews, I noticed that there were several complaining about things not getting done that the customer requested (but, the majority of reviews being good). Here’s where my experience of being the painter came into play… people - you need to make sure to specify IN writing, in the project summary (CertaPro Cincinnati’s terminology), exactly what is to be done, with clear reference to what “and” where. I went back and forth 3 times with edits to assure the things we discussed were included to my satisfaction. The estimator takes photos which are also included in the contract (and helpful for clarification). Because it was clear, and in writing, there was no question when the crew showed up, as to the work being done. In my case, Edgar and Ernesto and a helper did the work. It took three days, and communication was great, as I was not physically present every day (I live 12 miles away), but checked in on progress, periodically. The repair work was top notch (repaired a corner to a concrete porch, and rotted wood on a second floor dormer, reattaching aluminum facia, replaced wooden door frame going out to a deck, and securing gutters). The painting was done professionally, covering aluminum sided eaves which were weathered gray after 60 years, and with good coverage on a cinder block garage that had peeled horribly! The guys were careful (again, at written request in the contract) to not disturb a bird nest on the side porch aluminum awning… they will come back when the birds are gone to complete that last bit (a pic of the awning and bird nest below - unpainted underside). The only ding I might give was some old paint scraping chips that blew around. Otherwise, great job, and a pleasure to work with. Oh, and the follow up communication was very good with two separate calls to check that all is well. Anyway, this was my experience, and some pics are attached. ?

My painter of 20 years retired and moved out of state. Since then I hired painters but the quality of work was poor. My husband I decided to just our own paint projects but had a large project we weren't able to do. I googled searched and made several inquiries.
We hired this company after meeting with Sales Associate Andrew. He was very nice and equally thorough in noting what we wanted done. The pricing was competitive, and very reasonable. They only used Sherman Williams paint, which I consider to be the best and provided a warranty on the work.
The project finished two days ago and finished in two days. I was SPEECHLESS! The painters did an amazing job! They showed up on time, were friendly, neat, and cleaned up when they were done. My husband and I didn't have to move anything or do a thing!
We are BEYOND satisfied we told family and friends who will be hiring Certapro Painters for upcoming projects.
We're SO HAPPY with Certapro Painters that we're hiring for another paint project. Certapro Painters will be our painters for the next 20yrs or longer

After a discussion with a neighbor, we reached out to CertaPro to get an estimate for paining the first floor of our home, as well as the majority of the second floor of our home. In all honesty we were a bit overdue in getting this painting work done. We were very impressed when the estimator visited. He was exceptionally thorough, and examined each room, documenting any additional work that needed to be done. This included nail pops, scrapes, dents, and other repairs. Within a few days we had an estimate and scheduled the work.

When the team of painters showed up, we did a walk through, and they started. Everything was properly covered, including all of the floors. They started on the patching and repairs. They spent five days diligently working on our home. We checked in sporadically and were always impressed on the quality of the work, as well as how much work they had completed since the last inspection. When we did the final walk through, we were seriously impressed with the change in our home, and the quality of the work. There were only a few very minor items that were quickly and properly addressed. They did just as thorough of a job cleaning up, as they did with the prep work, repairing, and painting.

A couple weeks have passed, and every time I walk into one of the newly painted rooms, I’m struck with how much better our home now looks. We’ve been here for over twenty years and doing so much painting at one time has really renewed our appreciation of our home.

I just had my 3100 square ft home painted by Certa-Pro on the exterior. I did it myself with a brush 13 years ago and it took me all summer by working an hour here and an hour there. With Certa-Pro day 1 was extensive power wash of entire home. Day 2 was 5 professional painters putting 2 coats by spray on the siding. They taped plastic over all the windows and trim. Day 2 was 6 professional painters doing mostly trim and the porch and a little touch up on the siding. It looks great! I work for PPG so they let me purchase and provide the paint for the job.
