Trying to contact the warranty department to fix the defects on the brand new sliding door frame. The lady talked to us over the phone was very rude and refused to honor their warranty.

Scratches are included
I bought a new house with Milgard Windows. The builder asked me to blue tape the windows with scratches. Milgard came out and replaced the windows with more scratched windows. The Milgard installers said every window has scratches, so expect scratches. I honestly don’t know why I even did the blue tape inspection. Some of the replacements are worse than the originals. I won’t use Milgard in the future. They don’t call back, the manager is never in the office.

Horrible quality windows. Our windows are failing one by one, starting a couple years ago. This picture is of the INSIDE of the window between the panes, so it can't be cleaned off.

Unfortunately the warranty lapsed ~1 year ago and milguard is refusing to offer any sort of support despite the complete failure of their product.

Even worse, we tried calling a couple years ago (while it was still under warranty) and were given bad info that we weren't covered under their lifetime warranty since we weren't the original homeowners, so we didn't proceed with a claim at that time. Of course, they have no record of that call.

They said if it was a single window, they might still offer a goodwill replacement, but because it's multiple faulty windows there's nothing they can do. You would think widespread failure with the same issue in multiple windows would be a compelling reason to stand by your product, but apparently the opposite is true.

Poor quality product and poor customer service, I'll never go with Milgard windows ever again.

I've had Milgard Windows in my home since 2006 and have been very pleased with them. I recently had a patio slider issue and contacted customer service to see about getting it fixed. The process was straight forward and a repair tech arrived on time and fixed the problem easily. It's really nice to deal with a company that stands behind their product and warranty service even after 18 years! Thanks go out to all of you at Milgard Windows and Doors (especially Cody, the tech that repaired my Patio window).

I had several Milgard windows that had failed. After navigating the warranty web site, I was contacted by Milgard, and notified I would be receiving a date from the Milgard technicians for the repairs. This all happened in a very timely manner.

The repairs occurred on the date and times that were scheduled. The technicians were very organized, professional, clean and fast.

I purchased windows in August of 2019, and the screens disintegrated within less than a year* and the locks are not working (the windows can be easily opened from the outside even when in locked position). Further, I now have one that is jammed open and they are refusing service for several months. I took one off the tracks to clean the outside, and the metal clip that derails them snapped, jamming the window half open and immobile. I filed a request for service and around a month later got a reply that "many customers elect to replace the clips themselves because our service takes too long" without even an offer to send a new clip. WOW. So my window is jammed open, it's the rainy season in Oregon- early October. I asked for a service visit anyway, and the schedule me for late December. They are electing to allow our house to have an open window for 3 months to let in all the rain and cold. I hope they don't mind the bill for water damage and electrical. It may be time to talk to a lawyer.

*Because they buy the screens from a different company the screens are not under the same warranty and Milguard offers nothing more than "I'm sorry you feel that way." Specifically the plastic bits that hold the screens in and the pull tab that lets you take the screens on and off must be made of biodegradable plastic because degrade it did. Several of these broke with a light touch on first use.

This review is specifically focused on Milgard vinyl sliding doors.

Know that all Milgard sliding vinyl doors come with this most unsightly, highly reflective aluminum window spacer shown. Also know that Milgard hides this information from its customers. You will never find this detail anywhere until the windows shows up.

This is very sad that a company would close all access to showrooms to see products, still sell them during COVID19 event and be unapologetic about hiding ugly details, with no customer recourse at all.

This spacer does not match the one used in same branded Trinsic windows, but again that information is hidden. Attached is a picture of the spacer you will get - but Milgard hides this detail from customers.

Caveat emptor.

Buy your windows from a reputable company that is transparent about what you buy - and not deceptive.

I will never use Milgard windows ever again on sheer principle.
