We had a great experience with Exact Solar from start to finish. Our array was installed quickly and efficiently. They handled all of the paperwork and permits and we are up and running and extremely happy. I highly recommend this company to anyone contemplating a solar system. The team is amazing!

Overall

I highly recommend this company. They did a 26 solar panel rooftop install and 3 Enphase 5P battery installation for me and the installation was just as expected. Work was super clean and they did the necessary testing and commissioning, and did the coordination with MET-ED to get the PTO. We did the install in March and even though the system was installed in the middle of a billing month, my bill for this month was around $10 (which was mainly utility fees) where it normally would have been $120.

I am frustrated with our system. We have 54 panels, 2 inverters, and 2 LG backup battery. For the past 2 years, I’ve have had nothing but issues during the month March - Sept. I’ve had issue with the inverters breaking down, either one of them or both during those month. Each time they break down I have to wait 1 to 2 weeks for a technician to come out and sometimes addition days/weeks for parts replacement. I have suffered massive production loss during high production months for 2 years. I’ve been patient and accepting of the circumstances. As I’m writing this, both of my inverters are down again (inverters are down since March 13, 2024) and I’m told that a technician won’t be available until March 24. I’m completely at Exact Solars mercy. I’m angry and frustrated that this is happening again for the third year. Not sure if it’s the equipment(SolarEdge), the installation, or something else that is causing these failures. Whatever it is, looking at the pattern, I’ll be suffering another production loss again and the wait time for service does not help.

Update: Exact Solar was able to get a technician out to my house today (3/18/24) to fix the issue with my inverters. I am grateful that they took my issue as a priority and got someone out immediately rather than waiting until the week of March 24. They still need to figure out why the surge protector they installed did not prevent what happened. As of now, my system is running. Hopefully they get to the bottom of the issue and won’t have to come out again because of the same issues.

Update 3/24/2024: Inverters are down again. Again, this is the pattern for the past 2 years. I knew this was going to happen again after being fixed less than a week ago.

Update 3/25/2024: Inverters are fixed again. Everything is working for now.

Exact Solar was a pleasure to deal with every step of the way. There was no pressure to sign on as I was considering proposals and they were happy to answer any questions I had. Once I did sign on, they kept me updated with the status of the project and what to expect moving forward. The installers and electrician were courtious and terrific to deal with and also happily answered my questions as they were working. I highly recommend Exact Solar if you are considering a PV Solar project!
