Do not use this company.
They are a GAMBLE. And completely unreliable. Even their response to this review was dismissive and irresponsible.
The company failed us on the day of our move. None of their movers showed up- and the one that did clocked in and then immediately left. They kept us in suspense for hours trying to contact their guys and now we missed our window to find another company. They couldn’t get in touch with ANY of the confirmed team that confirmed just the day prior.
Their farewell email said that WE were the ones who cancelled and that they hope our alternative plans go well- as if we cancelled because we chose to. It’s completely disrespectful to their clients. They genuinely don’t care at all.
Don’t ever ever use this company. You will definitely regret it. It’s a complete gamble.
They are the least expensive for a reason.

This team was extremely helpful and patient and did incredible work. They adapted when the street parking was not big enough for the moving truck. They were punctual and also did the job in a timely manner. They also moved my bedroom furniture into my bedroom that is led by a spiral staircase with ease. I would recommend their services to anyone in need of movers!

We used to use Bellhop a lot and it’s been few years. It went from the most reliable movers we ever used to one of the sketchiest companies I’ve ever dealt with. Despite multiple confirmations, I received notification just 30 minutes before our move that my movers had been cancelled. After several hours of fighting with customer service, I was told that I called to reschedule the move which is, of course, ridiculous considering that everything we own was packed and ready to be moved.
Ultimately I was told that this was caused by a “massive data breach” which is alarming to say the least. Now we are not only in moving limbo, staying in a hotel while we await Bellhop to do the job we hired them for, we’re also anxious about the state of our data in their hands.
I wish that Bellhop was just another nightmare company with incompetent customer service. Unfortunately, they are a sketchy company that should not be trusted with any of your information. Fortunately we trust the movers to make the move easy if corporate can ever figure out how to do their jobs and dispatch a crew.
Do yourselves a favor and look elsewhere until Bellhop gets it together.

Today, I received a phone call from the Senior Recruiting Associate at Bellhop, whose LinkedIn profile is shown below, regarding the reviews I posted about my experience with the company on several websites. During the call, I was reprimanded for sharing my honest feedback, and Bellhop subsequently retaliated by removing me from their platform.
Regrettably, I cannot recommend Bellhop as a reliable source of income, especially for those who need it the most. The company's mission is not reflected in its treatment of employees. Contracted movers face significant challenges, including difficulties in communicating with customers and uncertainty about payment dates.
The Senior Recruiting Associate appeared unprepared for our conversation, referencing inaccurate dates and incorrect information about the complaints I had previously submitted. This lack of preparation further highlighted the issues within the company.
It's a shame because Bellhop had the potential to be a leader in its industry. I had hoped to achieve my career aspirations within Bellhop, but this experience has left me disheartened.

I would not recommend this moving company to anyone. It was easy enough to schedule my move online. However, on the date I was supposed to move, I had to call the customer service line because it was an hour and a half past my moving window and I had not heard from the movers. After being told that the customer service agent would contact my movers for me to find out what was going on, I received a call back 20 minutes later letting me know that in fact one of my movers had called out for the day and they would be unable to complete my move as scheduled. They offered me a “free” reschedule (which, frankly, is the least they could do), but fortunately I was able to find another company on short notice and cancelled my booking with Bellhop. The only positive note I have is that they agreed to cancel my booking and give me a full refund without any fuss. The lack of communication by this company and the movers it contracts is appalling. I shouldn’t find out two hours AFTER I was supposed to move that my movers won’t be showing up. I suggest you choose literally any other moving company, because you can’t trust that this one will show up at the date and time scheduled, or that they’ll contact you if they can’t.

The unprofessionalism and incompetence of this company is baffling. After 45 minutes after my scheduled time, I called them to get an update. They never contacted me to keep me informed on move, then after I called- they told me the truck broke down. Said they were going to work on it and get another team. After another 45 minutes they told me a move was not possible today after taking my money and deposit days prior and offering a lousy 15% off discount for TWO DAYS after my scheduled move for today. This has been scheduled weeks in advance. I came to them after hearing good reviews. I’ve never been so disgusted with the way things were handled. *Bellhop, my reservation number was I3ZAQLCD*

I didn't have a terrible experience...the movers arrived 30 min. later than the truck/driver. I was not told that the crew would arrive separately. I think they should let you know that upfront. But at least they didn't cancel on me last minute like other reviews. They seemed professional enough and only damaged one minor item. Only other critique would be that the moving guys demanded at the end I give a 5 star review and that I pay in cash. The moving guys also left earlier than the allotted time but the truck driver stayed till the end and helped with odds and ends. I have to say though due to them using seperste teams of not experienced professionals necessarily, I wouldn't recommend them. What one part of the team doesn't show up or is very late? Seems to have happened to a lot of other customers.
