My central air stopped working on a hot and humid Sunday. I called the company I have a contract with and they would not send anyone out on a Sunday. In desperation, I called several places to no avail. I called R.I. Affordable and spoke to Wayne who came to my house that day. Unfortunately, I needed a new motor and fan which was installed by his employee Jeff two days later. Both Wayne and Jeff were very honest, thorough, clean and efficient. The price was very reasonable. I am cancelling my contract with my current provider and will be using Affordable going forward!

We have been contemplating a new a/c unit. Wayne came out and looked at our unit and gave us an estimate. We ended up with just adding freon to the unit which helped immensely. Wayne was incredibly knowledgable, honest, kind and helpful. When it's time for a new unit we will definitely be calling him to replace our unit. I highly recommend his company!

It was a Cold & Stormy night !!⛈️?.. Our steam furnace STOPPED,..and would not restart. There was Below Freezing storm coming and my wife, kids, & pets were gonna be in for a bad holiday week. ? I signed up for Angie's List and after MUCH back-n-forth they set me up with a repair service. Long story short... Angie's List dropped the ball on my service 3 TIMES !!! YES. Almost a week went by and 3 SEPARATE Times their Mismanaged.... Misinformed.... & Mismatched "Preferred" service companies SCREWED UP !!? Out of the blue I get a call from a gentleman named Wayne Hawkins,. Owner of Affordable Heating & Air-conditioning Services. Not only is he telling me that he will be at my house NEXT DAY and promised furnace would be fixed and for 1/3 what Angie's List tried to charge me,..BUT.. he was talking to me from his table at a restaurant where he was having dinner with his wife !! He took my families dire situation as serious as I did and he made our home a priority. Showed up as promised. Worked as promised. Charged LESS than promised. Suffice it to say that as a 1st time Homeowner I now have a permanent HVAC Professional FOR LIFE !!!

The service technician was extremely knowledgeable and friendly! He was able to solve the problem quickly and was transparent about all the work being done. The price was very fair. He understood that some of the updates I will need I could not afford right away, he informed me that there were "right now" issues, "to do soon" issues and "when you can" solutions!
