I first met with Aaron with Ocean State Air Solutions in early 2022 looking for a heat and AC solution for my home. He took the time to understand my needs and involved Craig (owner) directly who came out on a separate visit to offer three options. All three were great each at different price points and with their own pros and cons. Ultimately, we selected the Mitsubishi Hyperheat 4 ton unit with two ducted air handlers complete with new ductwork. This was a big job as the house didn't have any existing ductwork and the structure was build with SIPs.

The installation crew lead by Anthony along with Josh and Dylan where very professional and were able to tackle some complex challenges. In the end they successfully installed the system in time for summer which was a game changer as I work from home. There were a couple of problems with third party sensors which Matt from service quickly resolved under warranty.

As time went on, strange popping noises coming from the largest vents located in the great room became very noticeable and annoying. I called OSAS and Service came out and investigated and it was decided to being Anthony back to further investigate. They tried a number of possible troubleshooting steps by to no avail. Lenny (head of ops) got directly involved and together they came up with and implemented a permanent correction for the problem. The problem seemed to stem from vent insulation into SIPs which introduced some complications as SIPs are not normally found in residential construction.

The bottom line is I'm writing this review because they are a company who are not just great from a sales and installation perspective but also with service and support. They covered all of this additional work under warranty and were always processional and dedicated to fixing the issue. Outstanding service like that is hard to find these days and Craig and his team are among the best I have encountered. I highly recommend them.

I highly recommend the Ocean State Air Solutions for HVAC service and replacement. After 20+ years my gas furnace failed on Halloween. After getting bids, I selected Joe DeSilva's quote to install a new Bryant Preferred furnace in my basement coupled with a Single Zone Heat Pump outside which moves all hot and cold air thru my existing ductwork. All stages of my project were communicated and professionally executed from Joe's sales quote, Kristy's planning/communication to Anthony's 2-day install and Jane's rebate processing. Since I am a stakeholder with Rhode Island's Office of Energy Resources, it was important to stack rebates from RI Energy, Clean Heat RI, and the Federal Tax Credit all of which I captured this year as Joe quoted. Lastly, they were able to prioritize and complete my install before the weather got colder in December. This kept my family warm all winter and we will be cool this summer thanks to Ocean State.

Ocean State installed my system 3 years ago. What Craig told me what I should expect has far exceded my expections. My heating bill is 25% of what it was 3 years ago. OSAS did respond to my complaint and explained why the brown could not be ordered at the time of my instillation. I highly respect a company that takes a problem seriously and tries to rectify it. I can now happily give them a 5 star review!

I would have easily given this company a 5 star review as I was very pleased with the quality and instillation of my Mitsubishi mini-split system 4 years ago. I have a brown clapboard house and asked if the fortress tubing (used to cover the wires) came in brown, and was told it did not, so I painted the white tubing brown. 4 years later, the tubing has pulled away from the house, some of it cracked needing replacement. I again asked if it came in brown, and this time was told I could special order it. The appearance is so much better and I wish it was done this way at the start. Please keep this in mind before installing this system.bb

Definitely consider Ocean State Air Solutions if you are thinking about any HVAC services on the island. The wife and I were ready for mini split units, and after getting multiple quotes, Ocean State Air Solutions were the most responsive and seemed the most legit. There are probably options out there that will be slightly cheaper, but I would be more concerned with their process and quality. They contract an electrician, supply a permit, and keep things organized to make things easy for you. Ocean State air solutions installed four units and a condenser in our old Newport house within 3.5 days. They were extremely clean and professional, to the point that I was able to successfully work from home during the entire installation. They even checked in to figure out the best times to be loud based on my meetings I had for work throughout the day. They also can help you with the national grid rebate process. So happy with our ac units. Would highly recommend. Great service and great people.
