The supervisor Melvin withholds promotions, and pay from certain employees. Creating a hostile work environment, that's too much power unchecked. There's no creditable HR Dept or Employee hotline to help them with their mistreatment and grievances. The plant manager Gene, who is very vindictive, deals with the known problem(s) by giving out write-ups and suspensions. Which now puts the employees job at risk. The building is not up to code, making it unsafe for the employees and understaffed. Instead of fixing it, they just switch owners and change the company's name: U.S. Brick.
