Very disappointing experience and absolutely will not be using Option One Plumbing again. We reached out because of a blockage in the piping after noticing gurgling and bubbling in the downstairs restroom. The customer service was responsive and promptly scheduled us for an appointment. No issues there. They also reassured us that there’s no charge for the on-site consultation, which is different than the other companies that I had called.

Scott was the gentleman who came to the house (it was actually my second time working with him). He quickly discovered a tree root that had penetrated the main sewage pipe leading from the house to the street. When asked about a solution, he said he can clear it out for $250. I’m no expert when it comes to plumbing so I asked what he’s going to do- and this was the fishy part. He didn’t make it clear as to the process except that it would be 30 minutes worth of work and involve sending a bladder down the pipe. I trusted his judgment given my decent experience the first time. WRONG! The work only took 5 minutes and he offered to send an industrial drain snake for another $500 plus. You can see where this is going and at this point I was obligated to pay the $250. When I contested the amount that I was charged for being misled to think that it was 30 minutes worth of work, Scott offered to refund the payment if I agreed to repair the section of the pipe for $3500.

I subsequently reached out to the manager to complain about the deceptive act that made me $250 short with 5 minutes of work that I could’ve done myself. Instead of acknowledging the concern, he said that it was a necessity given the driving time it took for Scott to get to my home. I pushed back and said it not my responsibility to account nor compensate for his driving time; in addition, I was explicitly told that there’s no cost associated with consultations. The manager then proceeded to reassure me that it will be refunded if I decided to pay $3500 to repair the damaged section of the pipe. He’s essentially holding the $250 as collateral. No matter how hard I tried, he continuously associated the cost with the driving time instead of the actual work that was done. After almost an entire hour on the phone, I relented. It was exhausting….

Giving it an additional star because I had a decent experience the first time. Scott actually walked the crawlspace with me to assess a leaking pipe.

From the moment I called to schedule an appointment, their customer service was exceptional, ensuring I got a convenient time slot. When Tim, my technician, arrived, he was prompt, courteous, and incredibly knowledgeable.

Tim took the time to thoroughly diagnose the problem and explained each step of the process, which put me at ease. His professionalism and expertise were evident as he efficiently resolved the plumbing issue with precision and care. What impressed me most was his commitment to ensuring everything was perfect before he left, even offering some helpful maintenance tips.

Overall, Option One Plumbing exceeded my expectations in every way. If you're looking for reliable, high-quality plumbing services, I highly recommend them. And if you can, request Tim – he’s a true professional and an asset to the company!

Davey and C (I forgot his name after asking twice sorry), did a great job fixing the mainline. However, regarding Option 1's surprise card fee, mixed feelings. Take into account if you pay via debit you will be charged a 3.5% fee.

Do not go with this company. Horrible experience. They scammed us did not finish the work stated in the paperwork. Left pipes in my yard and pipes underneath my home. They are still there as I speak. Pipe still sitting inside wall where they cut and left. Over charged us for the job. Sent 3 plans and the one we chose was not what the guy Tim introduced us to. Tim is so unprofessional. He would leave early. After he told me they were working until 4:30-5. I get off work at 3 and they were already gone. I would call and text he would not answer nor return phone calls. Me and my wife had to wait 2 weeks to move into our home because the job took a week and we had plans for the electricians to come the same week. He told us the job would take 3 days. 2 days for the in house piping and the 3rd they would trench my yard. Not only did the job take a week they also never trenched my yard. He disrespected me in front of my wife and all. Soon as the job was over he tells us that the pipe does not looked like it needed to be trenched so they are not gonna do it after taking our money. Talked to the owners daughter Ashley she has lied to us so many times. After talking to her. She Said she typed our convo we had over the phone and was gonna tell the owner which is her dad. Still have not returned not one phone call about us being over charged and our yard being trenched. While pipes are left cut in the sheet rock which is dangerous I have a son that could get hurt. Also underneath my home all of the before pipes are still left under our home. They came a week later after I annoyed them to get the pipes they left in my yard. But never came to get the pipe from underneath my home. This was the worst experience we have ever had. Ashley is a complete liar. She says that they will resolve this issue and still have not heard from them. I request to talk to the owner and still get not reply. Stay away from this company....scam artist

I just wanna say this was the best experience I have ever had with a plumber. Scott the tech came to do my free estimate of what I had wrong with my home as fat as my water pressure and my pipes around my well and did everything he could to explain what was wrong so that a lamen such as myself could understand. He also broke down the pricing of each option and what it entailed as well as suggesting financing because I was on a fixed income. I didn't have it done that day but will definitely call to get it done in the near future for sure. I would recommend Scott and Option One Plunbing to anyone!!!

Unfortunately we were out of the area during the time of repair however, thanks to Karson for keeping great communication with me during the replacement of our main sewer line. Most people don’t like dealing with contractors of any kind because you never know if they are be honest. Karson and Option 1 Plumbing ? were very honest about the entire process, price and did a great job!

The technician was nice and friendly. He was very helpful and did a great job on the replacement. The initial estimate and diagnosis was free so that was refreshing. (Most companies will still charge a fee just for coming out whether they do the repair or not.) He had the part already on his truck and was able to do the installation right away so that was a bonus! The only thing keeping me from 5 stars was because I thought the cost of labor was a little bit on the high side compared to my expectations. He did offer me $25 off though which was kind, and overall everything came out to be it cheaper than going with a major brand like Morris Jenkins, so I still saved money. They offer a 3 year warranty on parts and labor so, overall, I would recommend this company!

Overall

Option one is great, they found a leak that 2 other plumbers couldn't find. They removed the equipment while water mitigation came, and we had our flooring replaced . When it was time to have the units installed, we got next morning installatio. Daniel is our point man and was amazing! He fixed us up quick and is always so kind while being extremely efficient. Price can't be beat either.
