Do not purchase or listen to anyone involved with peppermint energy.
My first generator failed in 2018 after I experienced a brief rain shower while using the Forty2 in a hurricane relief project. The weatherproof case(?) was closed and I covered it immediately after I heard hissing. The manual says it should be treated like any other electrical device but my electric tools can handle a brief shower. Very disappointed and contacted their “ tech team “.
I returned it to Braden at peppermint and agreed on A full refund. After a lengthy delay they renigned on our agreement and Sent me another generator, which I put in my basement.

Fast forward to Hurricane Isaias in august 2020 and the CLOSED Forty2 get salt water exposure. I hear it humming and decide to bring it outside to dry out ( see image 969A048BA2484847AE01115C9C488A95.JPG).
When I returned the next day the generator had exploded throwing burned batteries 6 feet away....
