Overall

I had a rare problem where a 40 year old ornate metal mailbox cover rusted off. I brought it to D&S, thinking they could make a new one or something. They were actually just able to repair what I already had, quickly and for a good price.

Extremely knowledgeable too. I wasn't sure who built the original or with what materials, but D&S knew exactly what was used. Basically the cover attached with a door hinge. So D&S actually identified the part, which gave me new options in the moment, but also going forward in the event that I might have needed to buy it new. However, I didn't need buy it new because they were even able to hammer it back straight again so i could use the same pin. Lastly, D&S provided quality instruction on how to make the pin stay in the hinge going forward. That is not something i would have thought of so I really appreciate the skill and expertise that they not only worked with but were also willing to share.

This was a small job, and it looks like they have plenty of equipment and space for larger jobs too. Plus they are long time locals. I was expecting much more of a hassle, but everything was simpler than expected. I'm very grateful that they actually took the time to "diagnose" the issue and provide an easy, workable solution. It felt like going to a craftsman rather than a company. D&S is personable, professional, and clearly very skilled.

Overall

Highly recommend D&S for anyone looking for fabrication work! This is a small business that does great work at reasonable prices and you can trust to get the job done right. Jason did a great job with welding in some v-band exhaust clamps and then making everything fit correctly for me.
