Literally the worst tile company you could ever call. Avoid like the plague. Never on time, you will wait a year for your project to be completed. Constant lies about sickness, deaths in family etc. they will start your job to make a good impression and then move to other projects and delay you for months. Sloppy work, lies, unprofessional ownership and management. They should not be licensed to operate in TN. Avoid avoid avoid.

If I could give 0 stars I would. When you hear about nightmare experiences with contractors, I am pretty sure they are talking about Mountain City Tile. They understated the start times for the job (4-6 weeks turned into 8-12), couldn't stay on schedule (supposed to be finished in 7-10 days and it's been over a month), and lied to us when they ordered the WRONG TILE. They refuse to let me actually see the sample in their shop, and are blaming the distributor/manufacturer but I find it hard to believe that the sample would have incorrect ordering information, or that I'm the first person to select this and have the wrong item show up. Anyone with working eyeballs can tell the tile they installed does not at all resemble the tile we chose, but instead of just admitting a mistake and working to correct it, they decided to gaslight me and say it was just variations due to natural stone. We went and found the exact tile we had picked for less than 1/2 of what they were charging us, so they were price gouging too. We ended up having to hire a different company to come out and repair the work they did, with the correct tile. My advice, find someone else and save yourself the trouble of working with them, it's not worth the cheaper quote they'll provide.

We bought the most expensive tile in the store, and chose a difficult install pattern which cost more. We had a large kitchen floor and a subway style backsplash along very long wall. The cost was more than I ever imagined I would spend on tile in the kitchen. Kim is good with choosing colors and styles. I would rate them very poorly on the install and post sale customer service. We have several loose tiles in the kitchen and I have been trying for months (years really) to get them to come out and warrantee the work. They never did and I had to go with somebody else. I would not recommend them for this reason. Their tile and install costs are very high relative to other places and considering the sloppy craftsmanship it was not worth it.

I recently needed two small pieces of stone for nightstands. Because most stone companies don’t like to do small jobs, my husband and I stopped by the showroom to ask if they would do a very small job. They would. The lady who helped us, took us to the stone yard of leftover stone from other jobs. She helped us fine a black granite, which worked perfect with our colors. She was very patient and helpful, as I tried to make sure the size would fit with the right amount of overhang. We now have the stone tops are they are perfect!!! Thank you very much. We will use this business again.

I love my new bathroom Mountain City did an amazing job. My new tile floors and bathroom tile wall are gorgeous. Kim did an amazing job helping pick out the perfect colors. The contractor always answered all my questions. The tile laying guys were polite and helped me make decisions when problems came up from a previous contractors work. Also Mountain City beat the competitions price by a couple of thousand dollars. I will be using them again because of their wonderful staff and work.

I hired MCT for two projects at my home. Their service is very slow because my smaller job is usually passed over for larger jobs. Also, their prices are very high. Be sure to get other bids and ask for an estimated completion date. The quality of work is good.
