I have had nothing but great experiences with this company. Jeremiah was the one that I always used but since he’s no longer there, I still have had good experiences with other guys. Darrin and Tim were great. Darrin explained everything to me about his concerns and explained what needed to be done. He also got me a quick appointment for days later. Tim was quick in getting the job done but thorough.

I had a new fan that sounded like the blades were grinding. After seeing the fan was not causing the issue, I called Mr. Electric to come out and look at the box in the attic, thinking it was the issue. First technician was nice and told me that he could build a new box in the attic to secure the fan and resolve the problem for $455. This was the cheapest option per the tech. He advised he would come back in a few hours and complete the job, as he did not have the parts. Another technician and (guessing apprentice/trainee) showed up an hour later. They advised me that the attic box was fine and the drywall was causing the issue. The drywall around the hole in the ceiling appeared to be giving a bit and is not allowing for a proper installation of the fan, thus causing the "grinding" noise. Nothing was repaired and nothing was rebuilt. Only the fan was taken down. "The price is the price" is what I was told by the tech. Not a good first impression for a hometown company for this new resident.

**UPDATE** - This company cares about their public image and I respect that. I received a call from their operations manager, Bobby, who listened to my concerns and frustration and advised that he would have a team come back out to make the issue right. They came out today and now the fan works great. Thanks to Bobby and your technician Tyler, who was nice both times we spoke. Changing this from 1 star to 4 star. Thanks!

I called 6 different electricians and only Mr. Electric returned my call. So, 5* for returning my voicemail call. They showed up when they said they would and fixed my issue with a quality job. So, another 5* for a good job done in a timely fashion. With that said my next-door neighbor had the exact same procedure done on the same day at the same time and the electricians that did their work did it for LESS than half of what Mr. Electric charged me ($550 vs $1,250) and to add insult to injury Mr. Electric charged me an extra 4% because I used a credit card to pay. To pass inspection by the utility company the electrician had to get a permit from the state. Mr. Electric said that permit cost $350.00. My neighbor's electrician said the permit only cost $45.00. So, 1* for the price charged for the job and overall, 3*.

In response to Mr. Electric's reply of "the permitting fee was explained up front" that is absolutely false. There were a couple of forms on an electronic pad that I had to sign with my finger that you could not see in the bright sunlight, but nothing was explained about the permitting fee nor was any other pricing options offered me. If fact the day of the procedure while we were waiting for the electric company to kill the power to both houses, I asked the Mr. Electric rep why the large discrepancy in the fee and he did not have an answer. I generally have no issue with what anyone charges and you are correct the other electrician was a local one who did not have a fancy truck with his company name plastered all over the side of it, but he was also licensed and insured, and his work passed inspection just like Mr. Electric's did. I could have refused for Mr. Electric to complete the procedure I suppose and disputed the price with my credit card company, but I didn't and as I said the work done was fine. I did however get a business card from the other electrician and if I need an electrician going forward, I'll call him first.

As for the 4% fee for using a credit card. When a business accepts credit cards the credit card company has to go to the expense of collecting the money and making sure the business gets paid. As some of the charges may be uncollectable the credit card company, not the business is on the hook, therefore the fee. Making the customer pay for this service is not a good business model IMO, especially when charging such a large amount more than a competitor.

I highly recommend Mr.Electric for all your electrical needs. I woke up this morning with NO hot water. I called Mr. Electric and the lady was very professional with getting my info and told me she would contact the dispatcher to line up a tech. In 5 minutes I received their call. They first told me they could get to it Monday morning. I explained to her we needed hot water over the weekend. She told me she could schedule me between 1&3 today. Larry their tech showed up at 1:45 and proceeded to find my problem and correct it. He was very knowledgeable and courteous. The total cost was very little. Everyone I came in contact with at Mr. Electric was top notch and very professional. I want to Thank them again for taking care of my problem so quickly! It was a great experience!!!

I've been meaning to write this review but got caught up in the holidays. Recently, Mr Electric did an entire rewiring of a rental home I have. First, I'd like to say that Ryan was exceptional. He was the lead on the job and very professional throughout the whole process. (Even when there was a small issue between David & Ryan. Ryan showed his professionalism and remained a gentleman.) Ryan went above and beyond my expectations. David, was my first contact and he came out and quoted the job and explained exactly what they would be doing. I was grateful for his honesty and genuine concern that I was quite skeptical as I had been burned before. This was quite an expensive job and David assured me that the job would be done just as he said. None the less I was still skeptical. The job was completed exactly the way David quoted and Ryan made sure every detail was done according to the quote. I am very pleased with the job. I would highly recommend this company and be sure to ask for Ryan to be your lead man.
