The ATC Team installed some stunning floor to ceiling custom bookshelves in our house. They were a joy to work with, and clearly love what they do. The team paid attention to every detail and were always communicative. They went above and beyond to build our bookshelves exactly how we'd imagined!

Worth. Every. Penny.

My wife and I are both artists (she professionally and I for expression) and have backgrounds in design. We approached ATC with sketches/drawings of the desired work we wanted accomplished on our 1967 custom home and quickly realized we had the right crew for the job. Bryan and Patrick are incredibly precise carpenters who go the extra 500 miles to deliver to the customer. Their cabinetry skills are par excellence and it is quite clear that they adhere to the adage "Measure twice. Cut once". Their strongest suit? When we hit occasional snags with previous design, they were quick to develop and implement lasting solutions that were not only functional but attractive as well. This can be evidenced in the attached photos in the woodwork on the ceiling and walls over the bar and in the photos of the shelving and cabs above the refrigerator and glassed cabs.

I can't say enough good things about these guys, and I highly recommend them to anyone needing precise, professional and prideful woodwork accomplished. They are indeed, the "Real Deal".

I recently purchased an 85-yr old home in Bryker Woods, full of original, classic trim, crown moulding and oak floors. After a few small, disappointing projects with Austin area contractors who do not appreciate the importance of fine details when restoring older homes, I found Kyle and Bryan. They visited, actively listened, and asked great question to clearly understand what I wanted. Bryan is a true craftsman and a complete pleasure to work with - he pays close attention to the details and his work is high quality. He is uniquely clear at communicating every step of the project, and through those conversations my original plan shifted slightly which dramatically improved the end result. I immediately felt comfortable with Kyle and Bryan in my home, as you can immediately feel their genuine enthusiasm and appreciation to work with you and understand your vision. Not to mention they're simply trustworthy, good guys who clearly enjoy what they do and are looking to do the best by you in everything they say and do. They've helped me transform some rather complicated closets and entryways carefully and beautifully, while under a tight schedule for a reasonable price. I would highly recommend ATC, I have already started referring them to my friends and colleagues. I've also already started planning larger projects with Kyle and Bryan. I'm lucky to have found them.

We had high hopes when we initiated paneling projects in multiple rooms with the Kunkel brothers but unfortunately our confidence was misplaced. Having spent several months and many thousands of dollars, we’re now left with defective paneling that will cost much more to repair. Almost immediately after installation some of the panels separated at the seams and others bubbled, and these guys now refuse to take responsibility or remediate. First, they blamed the defects on the use of engineered wood panels. When I pointed out that they suggested using MDF in the first place, they pivoted to blaming alleged foundation issues at our home, which is a poor and unwarranted excuse. It would be an extraordinary coincidence if in the days immediately following installation our house shifted to such an extent that it would cause most of the seams to separate, especially considering that our home inspection, conducted just a couple months before the work was done, indicated that our foundation was performing as intended. For that matter, essentially every home is subject to minor settling, so even if such settling occurred, appropriately designed and installed paneling should be able to withstand it. We had other work done at the same time—a tile wall, countertops, backsplash, etc.—all of which have been problem-free, in contrast to the paneling.

I can’t say for sure where things went wrong. It might be the design or the materials or the execution or the painting. What I can say is that the end product is defective and that ATC lacks the integrity to make it right. I’ll add that along the way we experienced numerous delays and constant rescheduling, and were also subjected to incompetent subcontractors. If I had a dollar for every time I heard “Sorry I didn’t get back to you…” we’d have enough money to cover the cost of the repairs we’re now facing.

I’m writing this review because I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone. Bryan and Kyle were pleasant to work with when things were going well and, although they were not helpful in generating design alternatives, they did pay careful attention to the design specifications we provided. Perhaps in certain circumstances they can deliver a good product. I wouldn’t take that chance. Save yourself time, money, and headaches and look elsewhere.

Bryan and his team built us a custom cabinet, built in shelving and a mantle in our living room. My wife showed them photos and they were able to duplicate them exactly. They were on time and always stayed in communication and Bryan was on site every day. They also replaced base boards and mounding on our cabinets. Bryan went above and beyond to find the matching base boards. Overall we could not have been happier with the project and the company and would recommend them to anyone.
