At every step of the way, JR Pool Plaster has been more than excellent to deal with! They are totally top-notch in every way and stand out from other pool contractors we have used over the decades. From the knowledge of the sales person, to the professional communication with the scheduler, to the supervisor who is both present and meticulous, to the crews who are GREAT…I can’t say enough about how impressed I was. My Wet Edge signature matrix plaster is GORGEOUS in my pool and the pebble finish is smooth and consistent and not at all rough. The coastal blue was my choice (it’s actually shades of gray and white) but it gave such a classy modern rich look to my large pool. Such a gorgeous upgrade from the former white plaster!! The crews were considerate of my property, left no mess of any kind, and did a stellar job!
They might cost a little more but you absolutely get what you pay for!! I told someone that compared to other pool companies, the difference is day and night! I’m very picky but JR Pool Plaster exceeded my expectations! And that’s saying a lot!!!

This review would have been five stars if the service company they recommended had done a satisfactory job that we personally had to remedy. The service co did not clean the filter (see photos) but said they cleaned it. Not JR’s fault.

JR Pool Plastering & Texas Gunite rescued us from a true pool contractor nightmare and gave us the pool of our dreams right in time for the summer! Even before we were able to do business with JR Pool Plastering, their customer service was top notch. Once we actually signed a contract with them, their customer service continued to impress! They won’t just work hard to get your business and take your money like others. They are extremely knowledgeable and have been in the industry through three generations, which in the pool industry, is an eternity. Here is what distinguishes them:

- They have their own full-time staff which is KEY because they will not subcontract work to third-parties.
- They have specialized crews for each step of the pool building process. You won’t have guys that do tile working on your deck or guys that do gunite installing your equipment. Each staff member is an expert in their craft.
- Their scheduling, logistics, and project management skills are unparalleled. When they say they will be there, they will be there…no excuses! Even if there are hiccups along the way that are out of their control, they will let you know well in advance and make it right.
- Their prices are fair and their transparency with their quotes/work will get you a good value for what you are paying for. From beginning to end, they deliver on what they quote you for and they will NOT be in the business of nickel and diming you or delivering death by change orders. That is not how they operate!

We are so happy with the work they have done, and I am so glad that they were able to take on our 911 pool emergency rescue project. We will be recommending them to anybody that needs pool remodeling or has a pool rescue project like ours. 10 out of 10!

This company did a pool in our street for our neighbor. When they finished the job they did not clean up mess on the street. A homeowner confronted them about it and was cussed out by a worker. I called the company to get feedback. They never called me back. Please don’t use them unless you want a mess. I tried to work this out before posting but no one called me back.
