It has been several weeks since Schindler was supposed to fix the elevator at Windsor Shepherd apartments. They haven't sent a single technician to repair it. Residents are left to walk as many as 8 flights of stairs to get home. It is the start of June and we are already looking at 100 degree days, making these stair treks even more painful. Schindler should be sued for failing to repair their equipment in a timely manner.

There's a reason why so many people are complaining about this company. Once you get a service contract with them, they will take the money and don't give a damn about actually fulfilling their terms. Their elevator breaks every time there's even a light thunderstorm; the technician would come a "fix" it, and said that they have no idea how to fix the issue and to call them whenever it breaks... Ok?
The problem is, their service is 8am-5pm on weekdays and weekend has overtime charges. We called very early morning on a Friday and they assured us that they will come. Spoiler: No one came. We have to wait over the weekend, and even then someone came on Tuesday to fix the issue. There's no urgency on their end to provide good service, and the representatives have no problem lying to you since they're still getting money. I am just so frustrated and want to share this. I hope I can help others not get stuck with such a company.

Moved in to the Exchange apartments in November of 2022. Our building has 2 elevators. I’d estimate that over that 18 month period we’ve lived here, both elevators were simultaneously functional no more than 20% of that time. The complex is less than 5 years old, but the elevators are a constant headache. The rear one in building 1 has been inoperable since December (nearly 6 months), and now the front elevator is going down multiple times a week as well, leaving us with no lift service. Either Schindler’s maintenance staff is horribly incompetent, or the company just doesn’t care. Either way, I’d never move in to an upper level floor of a building with Schindler elevators ever again.

They are experts at what they do and service was provided very quickly. Elevator was up and running with in a couple hours after calling. Thank you!!

they have such a low rating because at my apartment complex their elevator units break down every single week at least twice a week and some of the elevator units have been in operational for over a year. you would think between them and the apartment complex they would use an ounce of common sense and say maybe hey you need to install brand new elevators????? instead of trying to fix something that is CLEARLY broken.

Richard Harder is non responsive and difficult to work with. Have been waiting for updates on repairs for several days and he is unresponsive. Schindler may have some good reps and employees, Richard leaves much to be desired.

Very Bad customer services. We paid the high annual services fees. We called them for service when the Elevator lost the power in last year. They came after two days after the elevator was back to work already and after we canceled the call. They still sent us the big bill about $2000. We called Schindler many time to request to adjust the bill but no one answered the phones.
This year someone was locked in the elevator, we called the Schindler and 911 for emergency help. Schindler took very long time no technician came. The 911 fire department officer came but did not have Schindler's special door keys so used the crossbar opened the door, and damaged the door. After that, the Schindler technician came but that was too late. They did nothing. But they sent us another Big bill for $2055. Schindler only want money not provide good services at all.
