1st time home buyers, bought in LGI sterling lakes. Splash pad hasn't worked 2 plus years. This lagoon idea, guess I'll see after my kids go to college. But I'd rather not ever pay another dime for the lagoon. The POA is a joke. Your dues will increase by 100 at least then just know you don't get to drill down into their budget. Our community we budget 31k per month for security. Ridiculous

Very unprofessional and corrupt. They also allow things like lagoon funatics to run a lagoon which is a joke. The lagoon style swimming pool in Balmoral is mismanaged, built incorrectly and not Even an actual neighborhood amenitie as anyone can come in but they won't even allow residents guest passes and try to charge residents valet for our neighborhood parking lot. This developer tries to put nonsense into restrictions that are laws that they can not legally change or prevent. There is so much wrong with this developer and their partners I can't list it all on Google.

Good internet service is critical for teleworking and running a business out of your house. Even more ideal is having 2 internet providers becasue we all know that they fail and having a non-cell backup in a hurricane prone areas is critical to working from home. With that in mind Called the corporate office to find out what internet service providers are available in Texas City. The admitted they knew nothing about the property as they didn't live there. As good customer service would dictate they didn't offer to find out and get back to me. Basically said its not our problem, just just call all the providers and see who provides service. Since the service providers sign an exclusive contract with developer and pay them for the access to the customers you’d think they would know which companies they selected. Guess they don’t train their people and customer service isn’t their top priority. Also be aware they don't take internet here seriously which is critical for working at home during a pandemic. They offer old school cable service as their one ISP, no fiber to the home, no high speed uploads for you content creators and no interest at all in working with modern needs.

7/20 my family and I were victims of racial profiling. I recently purchased a home in a subdivision in Texas City, where my kids and I were asked to leave the pool.Initially I was told I didn't live there, then minutes later Texas City PD was called without warning or cause . I was threatened to leave or be arrested for trespassing. My children were scared and terrified thinking I would go to jail. I do have footage on my Facebook page. I feel this situation was racially motivated and should be addressed publicly. And the discriminatory behavior of pool staff of Lago mar subdivision. A Land Tejas, representative contacted me once and I was told that the situation was not right and I was told that they would investigate and reach back out to me. And yet Land Tejas has yet to do so almost 9 months later, out of sight out of mind right?? This is just unacceptable and is a true look at the Land Tejas Developers. I urged everyone thinking of buying in the Lago Mar Subdivision to think hard and clear about purchasing. This purchase by far is the worst decision I have ever made.

Before we purchased our home we researched the builder, unfortunately, not the developer. The development we live in is developed by Land Tejas and we are very disappointed. Lots of plans but few actually happen, and the ones that do, the residents don't want. Don't believe the promises you hear at your model home visit and don't expect anything more than what you can actually see already. We see very little follow-up on anything positive. Cheap and fast is the name of the game. In addition, they assigned a property association that is as shady as the developer. Do your homework and find out if you are shopping one of their developments before you buy.
