We went with this company and did not go with competing bids because of trust in the Michael Berry audience/sponsor relationship. Well:
Five Stars: (1) very professional installation crew: left out wires for alarms, cleaned up, used plastic sheeting to reduce inside dust and bug inflow, quality job, (2) windows themselves are extremely high quality and beautiful, (3) Salesman did a fantastic job helping us think through colors, panes, etc.
One Star: (1) Salesman said “2-3 months installation time” after initial deposit check written, and after *many* calls from my wife, finally reaching the owner, installation started after five months, (2) because of very bad experiences with glass shards after being in another house for windows replacement, I asked the salesman if existing windows would be broken/shattered to get out, and the salesman said, “we have our own crews, they are great, and they will not break a single window.” In actuality, *every* window was broken and my bride and I both stepped on glass shards, (3) despite all our windows being measured *twice*, one replacement window did not fit, and we are once again on the “two month waiting list”, (4) not insignificant damage to our outside shrubs in the front of the house.
All-in-all, being candid here, rather than go with the “Michael Berry relationship trusted no worry company”, if we had to do it all over again, we truly love the result, but would go with competing bids (today is 6 months to the day since we wrote a large 1/3 $ check and we are still waiting on the last window).

No stars here. We struggle with GCW service after we replaced all 43 windows in our home in 2018. Missed service calls, plus no answer from leadership when I wrote them a memo with pictures and the opinions of a 3rd party inspector about my leaking windows that are damaging our home inside. We live with beach towels on our window sills to catch the rainwater on a couple of our windows. Nothing but excuses around even coming out to see my problems. The service department is kind but seems to lack any authority to do what must be done. I’m at my wits end with this vendor. Every time it rains we get scared. I researched them extensively before awarding them our project please think twice about using GCW. I remain hopeful that someone in ownership will help us very very soon!

I purchased Gulfcoast windows in 2012. Since that time, I have had one warranty claim on a pane that began to delaminate and I had a window damaged from Hurricane Beryl 2024. Gulfcoast window warranty workmanship is poor and the company representatives communicated they will not provide support for window replacement after the install. They are expensive and customer service is poor. I found a local company to assist with window replacement, prior to writing this review. Please do youself a favor and save money by working with another window company. I'm extremely disappointed in after the sale warranty and service. GC Windows are decent quality but there are competitive options for way less money.
Update 08/06/2024 Previously, I made four attempts to request purchasing a new window for my GCW damaged window from Beryl and all of the customer service representatives "communicated" GCW would not sale me a window, even though I was a previous customer. Phone Call & Resolution: 5 days after this review I recieved a phone call on August 6th from GCW in attempt to resolve my issues based on this google review. The GCW Sales representative corrected the statement on service after the sale. He stated GCW would sale me "one" window for a replacement. The original google review prompted the call from GCW. Future warranty on my remaining windows will have the $75.00 fee waved for warranty work. GCW lessoned learned If you don't recieve satisfaction from front line employees, ask to speak to a leader or a member of the management team at GCW.
This google review has been updated and will stand for other customers to benefit from my experience.

I needed to have all my windows replaced with impact resistant type. I called GCW and they sent out the sales rep. Bobby Sommerville on Sept 16, 2022. After discussing my requirements we agreed on a cost of $38,000.00. He measured all the windows and told me there was a six week backlog until my windows would be ready. I paid the $11,400 down payment. Three months later they were ready and the crew arrived to install the windows. Upon arriving at my house they ran off the driveway with the trailer knocking down my markers and putting a tire rut on my lawn. They never mentioned it. The crew worked very quickly on the installation. On Friday they told me they were finished and they would return to install one of the windows that had not been built correctly. I withheld $300.00 until the job was finished. After they left I did a quick look around and found that one of the windows did not have all of the trim work installed. I called and was told that it would be corrected with they returned with the correct window. When all the window were completed I asked about the Texas Windstorm Certificate and was told that another person would be performing that inspection. After waiting for three weeks I called again and was told the inspector would be coming for the inspection. He arrived and looked at all aspects of the installation. He left two of the upper window down and blowing rain wet the curtain in the room. I have called twice to inquire about the TWS certificate with no results. So, here we are two years later at the start of hurricane season and no insurance because no certificate. I used Gulf Coast Window because I thought they were a one stop shop and had a good reputation. They apparently were contractor that are not under their control. So, my window are great, but the service not so much.

After I agreed to pay Gulf Coast a fortune, Gulf Coast's installation team abandoned their window and glass door project before completion leaving me to pray it does not rain. Because of their poor planning and lack of professionalism, on day two of what was supposed to be an eight hour project(one day), the responsible team left my home's windows and doors open to the elements. Their excuse: the project was too difficult and the materials were wrong. Mind you, this was well into the project after their demolition which followed their purchase and assembly of materials which they custom designed from their own inspection, measurement, and on site sales. I've posted some photos to educate you, their next customer. When the project became troublesome, I tried multiple times to call the company. All I got was an answering service who either could not or would not help us. Their only solution: they would have someone call me back. After I repeatedly called the Gulf Coast salesman's cell phone, he finally called me back. The salesman who agreed on behalf of the company that they would perform their contract has now assured me that the leaders of the company will make this right. I hope they do, so I can post a satisfactory update to this review. In the mean time, I'll keep praying the weather doesn't destroy my home.
