Our son Just finished Diesel Tech Certification and all the jobs would not give him a chance to prove his work because of a Speech Disability but Gerber Construction does not discriminate Harman called my son and treated him very professional made him feel like a person without a Disability and gave him the opportunity to have a second interview with Garrett and they both treated him with respect made him feel great about his interview the job and the pay. My son got other job offers but the way these two employees teated him with Respect and seen the potential in my son to learn more was what got my son having this company on the top of his job hunt list and thankfully they gave him the job offer. This is how all company’s should work is not discriminate because of a Disability because ANYONE who reaches and try’s hard to achieve a goal with or without a Disability can achieve it.

Overall

I've been with Gerber Construction for 3 years. The Founders of this company set their expectations very high as they carved out a company who's name and reputation have become synonymous with Hard Working, Innovative and Quality. These high expectations require very special and dedicated people. I'm very proud of where I work and admire the skills and commitment of the hard working people who support, plan, organize, facilitate, build and manage the incredible projects we build. I'm fortunate to be working with Leaders and Owners who challenge me daily to not just be better, but push me to find where my true best is. At times that process can be tough to stay committed too, but when you do, you grow. I've seen countless random acts of kindness, charity and genuine compassion by our people in all capacities. Before considering Gerber as an employer, and the only way you can truly be successful here, you need to fully accept that this is a "you get what you give" environment that rewards those who are internally motivated, dependable and coachable. I'm glad I chose Gerber.

Overall

Great construction company to work for. They really take care of their employees. Recently we took a whole day off work to get some safety training. The training went over work safety but also some information that can help us outside of work as well. The owners are also constantly paying for the employees and their family to have some great time outside of work. They reserved a movie theater, Cowabunga Bay and BBQs. They have been in business for 45 years so they are an established, stable company.
