Company was respectful, understanding, quick, and capable. Even more impressive, they have great customer service and take pride in their work, so if for some reason something isn't what you expected, they will address it.

I called them after we opened up a wall in the basement that seemed to have mold growing through it, only to find the internal wall completely saturated with black-colored mold. I was in a panic when I called. Brett called me back same day, gave an initial opinion based on my photos, and listened when I told him my two biggest concerns, which were getting the area sanitized as soon as possible and being able to afford it. Brett was understanding and honest. He helped me choose which options best worked for us. The crew that came to our house - Ethan, Mana, and Jake - were respectful and did a thorough job. When I called with a concern I had after the first day (turned out to be a misunderstanding between my husband and I), Brett personally came back out to address it and make sure the work was everything we had expected. If you look at my other reviews, you will see that there are no negative reviews. Normally I do not leave a review if it is negative, I just don’t support the business; however, this company is awful. We had smoke damage from a wild fire and needed remediation. There was quite a bit of soot and ash throughout our house.

These were our negative experiences:

1. Two of their workers were caught on camera (video attached) going through the drawers in our bedroom. They were taking items out of the drawer that belonged to my recently deceased Father, laughing, joking, going through items. They then went through my underwear drawer. It’s hard enough to trust people to be in your house, but then to have them rifle through your things, we felt so violated.

2. They claimed to have cleaned several items that were clearly not cleaned, or cleaned so poorly we had to have it completely redone. Areas included, floors, air ducts, walls, carpet, widow sills, and furniture. We would move an item and find a pile of ash under it. They said they cleaned the garage, sent some pictures. My shoes were completely black with ash after walking across the garage floor. I had to power wash it myself, there were pools of ash with very light spray pressure.

3. They used the same dirty rags throughout the entire house, so those items that they did clean were had a layer of grime residue. ALL surfaces they “cleaned” had this residue. TV screens, computer screens, pictures, counters, furniture, moldings, doors, toilets...literally every surface!

4. The cleaning agent they used on our floors (1 year old house) left a residue that keeps foaming up every time we clean the LVP floor. We have mopped it at least 20 times and the residue keeps appearing. It Makes it almost impossible to clean the floor as the mop foams up so bad we have to rinse it every few feet.
5. My elderly mother lives with us in a MIL suite. They did such a half hearted job cleaning her areas that I had to re-clean the entire place. So. Much. Ash!

6. When confronted with the issues, they came off annoyed. They begrudgingly came back to “make things right”. You would think they would have learned that we have cameras all over the house setup to monitor the cleaning crews while we stayed with family during remediation. They did such a horrible job at “fixing” the issues that we had to clean everything again. The residue we did get off was now back...

7. How much do you think is reasonable to charge for someone to come in and wipe down all surfaces, mop floors, clean walls, clean fixtures, wipe down furniture, and clean the ducting. My insurance company called me and informed me they charged $50k!!! WHAT!!! The adjuster told me they had never seen such outrageously overcharging. They negotiated the bill down, but it was still absolutely ridiculous.

8. We had a $1000 deductible we withheld from Expert Restoration until they made things right. Things are still not right, so to add insult to injury, they have now threatened to put a lien on our house. What???? They bilked my insurance company for over $40k, had all these issues, have not made things right, invaded our privacy, and now want to out a lien on our house for $1000.

Please, do not give this horrible company your business. If you have a problem, I recommend calling your insurance and finding a premier provider that they recommend.

Our basement flooded just 2 weeks after we completely remodeled it. The situation was super frustrating but I got ahold of Expert Restoration immediately and they were out at my house within the same day. The boys working in our home were very respectful and professional and the quality of their work was precise and clean. All for a great price, too! 10/10 recommend!

The guys were really quick to respond to my situation. They were out working on stuff within a couple hours of getting a phone call. They worked really hard and really efficiently which I greatly appreciated. I felt like I wanted a little more communication from the one supervising to walk me through invoice, payment, process, timeline etc, but he was very nice and easy to work with. My ONLY thing is that I got brand new carpet less than a month ago...and instead of cutting on seams, they just very sloppily & jaggedly cut wherever the moisture ended. I'm sure that's protocol, but it was absolutely horrifying to find that so some communication on that end would have been nice. All in all though, hard workers, quick, seemed to try and keep things as neat as they could given the disaster of a situation they were dealing with.

Ryan responded promptly to our basement flood emergency. His crew, Ethan and Brandon, did an amazing job of cleaning up and drying things out. They were very professional, courteous, hard working and respectful of our furniture and household effects.
I highly recommend Expert for quick response time, competence,
the proper specialized equipment, and efficient professional service. Their pricing was reasonable and they also worked efficiently with my insurance company.
