I cannot say enough good things about Jack and Delaney Windows & Doors. They installed 12 replacement windows at our home including replacing a large single-pane window with two operable windows. The windows are wonderful quality. We couldn’t believe how quiet our house sounded and look forward to the energy savings going forward. From the time Jack came out to give us an estimate, every aspect of the service was professional. They were always on-time and kept us fully updated on the process. Jack was so kind to walk us through the details of replacement windows and answer our many, many questions. He was also very easy to contact and responsive to calls and texts. We got a few estimates from other companies in Farmville and Lynchburg and Jack was right on par with or cheaper than the competitors. Jack of Delaney’s Windows is an excellent craftsman and totally professional. Jack started the process by sitting down with us to understand what we wanted. He then proposed the installation of a beautiful trapezoid picture window for our mountain cabin. He kept us informed during the entire ordering, delivery, and installation process. Jack went to great lengths to protect our furnishings from saw dust as he cut the new 6’ foot by 4’ hole, as he is one of the few companies in the area that offer new installations/new builds. He created an ingenious method to host the majestic window into place. The resulting view is breath-taking as we can now see water and ice falls along the mountain top from our sitting space! The light that comes in has transformed the kitchen and living areas. We are extremely happy with his affordable and detailed work. We have since had Jack install/replace two more windows for us! We highly recommend Delaney Windows for any window installations.

I had Jack install a new Pella window to replace a door in my den. He did excellent work and I’m really pleased with the results. He was great to work with and kept me updated on the window order, which took about a month and half for the manufacturer to make. Whenever I see a business with all 5 star reviews I get suspicious. After having Jack install 2 storm doors and install a new window, I now understand why they are the highest rated window installer within 100 miles. In addition to having two dogs, and a house that is constantly buzzing with projects I have an unconventional family. Jack has been very accommodating throughout the entire process. A huge issue of working with contractors is that many of them are flakey. They don't return calls, they give ETAs that slip and slip and slip, they surprise you with price increases etc.. Jack has been a world class communicator. I have no idea how, but he completed our 2 storm doors and window installation ahead of time and under budget. Jack let us know that our install was straightforward and he was able to reduce the actual cost versus what we were quoted. I've had 5 homes and never have I had a contractor finish a project for less money than what I was quoted. We could not be more pleased with the fit and finish of everything. The quality is exactly what we needed. It's been a month and my family is still thrilled with the results, we have so much more natural light. During the project Jack left our home very clean, he never left a mess for us to clean up. He was also extremely accommodating working around our 2 dogs, one of which is a terror-puppy.

Summary - Jack and his team are fantastic people that do incredible work for a very reasonable price.

This guy is absolutely great! I'm not even sure where to start with his good qualities as a professional contractor: he was on-time, professional, polite, knowledgeable, communicated well, and explained everything very clearly. After the first time we met, he had assessed the problem, explained very clearly what was wrong and presented me options. He explained the inexpensive options all the way up to the most expensive, along with the detailed cost-benefit of each level of repair. In the end, we decided to go with the more costly option, and we're glad we did.
The contractor showed up for the job promptly, on-time and with everything he needed to get the job done right and the first time. He was prepared for the job, never needed to run out to get more supplies, and went out of his way to protect the area around the worksite to keep our house clean. The finished product is amazing! The door is fully weather-sealed and looks great, the trim is clean and I don't even need to repaint anything because he managed to replace the entire door, frame and threshold without even damaging the existing trim.
Delaney Windows and Doors is professional, punctual, priced fairly, and he got the job done *weeks* faster than the quotes I got from every single other contractor I called. I absolutely recommend these guys for all your door and window needs. I will be keeping this contractor's business card handy in my box of home ownership documents for every future repair.
