I worked with Keoni Rison. He used my housing information to build a quote with all of the technical and financial information. He was open and honest. In the end, I did not get solar because I may not stay in my house for longer than five years. Other companies misrepresented the technical and financial numbers, but not Dominion Energy Solutions. They were upfront about criterion and circumstances. They do not work on commission. They are salary employees with Dominion.

If you are thinking about getting solar and live in Virginia, I would highly recommend working with Dominion Energy Solutions because of their policies of openness, honesty, and tendency to underestimate the potential utility of solar. They do not misrepresent or overestimate the possible outcomes.

I am EXTREMELY PLEASED with my new solar system. I had installed a solar system at home previously owned so I had an experience to compare. The company that I used before went out of business within two years of my installation as many of them do. This was one of the primary reasons for choosing Dominion Energy Solutions. Dominion has been around a long time so I was pretty confident they would be around for all my future needs. Dominion was competitively priced and they actually listened to what I wanted. Other companies did not and Tesla even designed a system for a different house. Dominion Energy Solutions designed a perfect system for my needs and Convert Solar did the installation in one day. They were extremely responsive and were there to answer all my questions and took the time to explain SRECs. I can see how my new system is functioning at any time on my phone and it's producing incredibly well. Today I got my first electric bill and it was $9.33 for account administrative fee and tax. I highly recommend Dominion Energy Solutions. My only regret is that I didn't choose them sooner.

If you're even considering going with some level of solar energy system , I highly recommend going through the estimation process from Dominion Energy Solutions. Our advisor, Jessica Cooper, was responsive, thorough and was able to anticipate and answer any questions we had throughout the process. Their data and information far surpasses the sales-type pitch from every other "installer" that we have encountered thus far. Very much appreciated Jessica's straightforward discussion and feedback on all available options. In the end we decided to not pursue a system with our current home, but we absolutely will reach out to them again with our next house. And with her explanations, we'll be able to take that into account as well as we look for property and homes.

Ashley Walker did a great job of explaining the whole process of solar panel installation and what to expect. She was always available when I had questions and was a pleasure to work with while she provided information but never pressured me. I even had to educate some other contractors after gathering information from Ashley. Their prices were very competitive and the installation team was efficient and professional. After reading so many horror stories about other homeowners' experiences with shady solar contractors I was relieved to work with Ashley and the installation contractor.
