Overall

We had an unfortunately quite disappointing experience with Four Square. The final cost ended up being four times the initial estimate, which was an unpleasant surprise. Kyle didn’t come up with creative designs, with the first concept being nothing more than a long rectangle — hardly the innovative solution we were expecting.

What made matters worse was that the designs were too far along when presented to us. This not only wasted valuable time but also racked up unnecessary billable hours. We were also charged for review meetings, yet we weren't sent the designs in advance to review them properly.

Despite explicitly stating we did not want a brick facade due to the additional cost in foundation work, the final designs included brick. This would have further inflated our costs, adding to our frustration. Thank goodness for a smart concrete contractor!

Overall, Four Square fell short in creativity, transparency, and cost management, making this a regrettable and costly experience.

Kyle is our neighbor. We've watched with amazement at the magnificent job he's done on restoration, interior design and landscaping of their Victorian era home over the last five years.
