These guys are CROOKS! I called three times because my monthly payment was not coming out of my account. They kept saying it was a "glitch in the system." During this time I accrued a bill of about $700 (at the already insane cost of $200 a month). I agreed to pay $150 and then make monthly payments for the rest. GMP assured me this plan was all set up and then I wake up to a $700 charge on my bank account! Several phone calls later (including one where I was hung up on for no reason at all) I find out some clerk made a mistake. So now I get to go back and forth with GMP and my bank.
This company is run horribly! Side note - putting someone on hold for over 10 minutes is very poor customer service.
I'm moving to a state with de-regulated electric providers and never looking back! GMP is a joke!

I just called customer service and they were incredibly rude for no reason when I simply asked for my account number. I wish there was another electrical company in my town that I could support because I do not like supporting people that run their business so poorly.

Sent a final bill to the address I moved out of, and then referred it to a collection agency without any further contact. Said they called me one time, but I have no record of the call and they certainly did not leave a voicemail. Customer service took no accountability. Would rather impact someone's credit than just send an email or leave a voicemail.

I live in Manchester Vermont a state with a third world country power grid. The power goes out like a candle in a wind storm. This company has done little to improve things over the last 10 years. Check out their Google reviews, they respond to no one. Any heavy snow and the power goes out to thousands of people. Absolutely terrible infrastructure, like living in the Congo. It's a matter of time before the pipes burst.
But...
They did remove a fallen tree on power lines near my home, fairly quickly in fact. So I rated two stars.

Just made a phone call asking about help with my hot water heater. Seems like a mixing valve they installed when putting in a new tank is failing and I'm sending hot water back into the system. I was told they contract out for this and when I asked about a time line, or if there was any help for me if they couldn't make it here in a timely manor, it was explained to me that it was my fault for not calling when I realized there was an issue ( two days ago ). I called in a good mood and left angry. This should have been an easy call for the customer service rep and they made sure to turn it into a personal attack. Too bad GMP has a monopoly or I would have switched as I pay way too much to this company to be treated like this. If I could give it less than one star I would.
