Dan and his crew did an excellent job working with me to remove an existing pond and create a three column water feature. He gave me inspiration and ideas of what would and wouldn’t work, and met me at Rock Mountain to discuss options. He led me in the right direction. He was response to my calls, completed work on time, and even came promptly to replace a faulty pump. He even found a way to incorporate a little house my husband wanted to keep!
Dan was knowing easy to work with. I highly recommend him and Bear Creek.

TL;DR: yard always looks great, but be wary of property damage, monthly cost is higher than others

We've been using Bear Creek Landscaping since 2020, and our yard has looked wonderful ever since. However, in the last couple of years we have had ongoing issues with property damage that has forced me to downgrade my review to 3 stars.

In 2021, we started to notice that our fence gate started falling apart around the latch, due to how rough the crew was with our gate. We ended up replacing the gate with a new door and brand new latch (with no help from Bear Creek) and have also had to reinforce the latch several times since.

In 2022, we also began to notice that our landscape lights would frequently get bumped and require repositioning after nearly every service visit. (Not minor bumps either - lights previously pointing at the greenbelt behind our house would be entirely turned around, pointing into the house, or straight up into the sky / down into the ground).

Then in April of 2023 when the spring service resumed, we found that 4 out of 6 of our lights had been completely broken off their mounts by the crew while servicing our yard. We contacted Bear Creek and despite MANY emails and phone calls, it took until August 2023 to get any kind of offer for a resolution. We were told our lights were simply old and rusty and they couldn't be held responsible, but we could pay them $2500 to install new lights. We opted instead to buy and install replacement lights ourselves, making sure to choose the sturdiest ones we could find.

Now, after only having had the brand new, sturdier lights installed for barely 3 months, one of the lights has been broken by the crew following their service visit during the first week of December.

We have again contacted Bear Creek about this issue and gotten no response.

If you do not have any landscape lighting, wooden gates, or other property that could be damaged by a landscaping crew, then these guys do great work. Otherwise I would not recommend them, as they were one of the more expensive companies when we originally evaluated landscapers, and for the price we pay I would expect better.

Overall

Shane with Bear Creek put in a huge network of sprinklers for us. He customized fences quite precisely to our specifications, including creating a dog “airlock” system. He added driveway and tree lighting that looks spectacular. When problems arose, he was polite and responsive and even added little extra touches to make everything special. It all looks better than I imagined!

My townhome complex contracts with Bear Creek for landscaping. I have put a lot of time and money into planting in my garden over the last couple of years. I can't count the number of times that one of the landscapers have destroyed brand new plants and newly sprouted bulbs in my garden beds with careless mowing and weed wacking. Even after putting up a decorative iron fence, that was somehow sucked into their mower as well. It's been a very frustrating experience.

We had numerous items accomplished for our large yard "spring cleaning". I particularly want to thank Don who had over site of our project and offered numerous helpful ideas. Secondly the crews that accomplished the project which included terrace walls and patios were extremely hard workers all led by Julio.

He is reliable, responsive, personable, and truly cares. Our yard when we first started working with him and his team had so much potential, but we were overwhelmed by where to start. Jeff took the time to listen and understand what we wanted for our home, and really brought our vision to life. My yard needed a lot of sprucing up to get my house ready to put on the market - lots of weeding, edging, mowing, yard debris, and scraggly plants. Bear Creek Landscaping came in and did an amazing job of making my yard look the best it ever has. It looks super clean, orderly, and manicured. They went over and above trimming some plantings that weren't part of the plan. The yard looks great. I wish I'd had them as a yard service for the 18 years I lived in my house.

My contact there was Jeff. He was responsive, professional, punctual, and had good ideas when he looked at the yard. I tried contacting 3 other services and every single one flaked out by not showing up. Bear Creek was the only service that was responsive. Highly recommend.

Bear Creek was spectacular in every way. They finished on time (early, actually) and on budget. Kyle was responsive, extremely knowledgeable, thoughtful, creative, clear, professional and excited. Felipe and crew worked seamlessly together. The result - a spectacular transformation of a space we had just-about let go (ivy, blackberries...generally, nature taking over) into a fresh, elegant hardscape and landscape for our front and back yard we will enjoy for years to come. It feels natural and lush, but not pretentious. We could not have asked for anything more. I would recommend Bear Creek to anyone in a heartbeat. Spectacular!

We would like to share our very positive experience that we had with Jeff Mitchell and his crew. They helped us to redesign our backyard with a new retaining wall that helped make the yard a more useable space. Jeff's crew is also helping us hydroseed the newly enhanced yard in both the front and back. He told us the project would take 3 - 4 days and he and the crew finished in just 3 days. We were very impressed with their work and they cleaned up after themselves every night. We would certainly recommend them to family and friends.
