Alex was a huge help with our deck vision! He listened to what we wanted and came up with creative ways to maximize usable area while keeping our budget in mind. I would recommend him & 3rd gen for any deck project.

The deck off our second story great room was failing due to rotting structural members. I contacted several local builders to get quotes to replace it and was told they were booked out a year or more. When I contacted 3rd Gen Deck Builders, not only were they available to come out to quote the job immediately, they were able to schedule the work within a couple of months. The design and selection of materials and finishes met all of our visions for the project and fit our budget.

The crew assigned to our job could not have been better. Every step from demolition of the old deck to installing the foundations for the supporting posts to construction of the deck and railing was done with precision and care. The finished product met all of our expectations for appearance, quality and strength. We were so pleased with their work that we engaged them to rebuild the stairs leading down to our pier. I can recommend 3rd Gen Deck Builders without hesitation.

They did a fabulous job taking down an old wood deck and replacing it from the ground up with a brand new deck that will last for decades. The new composite decking looks wonderful as well as the steel, aluminum and vinyl railing that was installed to match our French colonial house. Their pleasant and friendly carpenters did a masterful, neat job. It was a big deck that has a beautiful old oak tree, right in the middle of it. We couldn’t be happier.
