I want to start this review as positive as I can. Overall very happy with the fence, everything was installed great and as ordered. It was installed in a timely matter and they were good to work with.

When they showed up to install the fence I made them fully aware of our sprinkler system, even asking if they needed any more information regarding that. I was reassured that they deal with sprinkler systems all the time and that they didn't need any more information from me. Fast forward two weeks after the installation. We had our sprinkler system blown out. We were informed that one of the fence posts was pushed right through a sprinkler line in our system and that the line was shot.

After this I called American Fence to see if they would make this right and I explained the situation. I was told that if I didn't have the lines marked for the sprinkler system that it wasn't their fault. What is extremely frustrating about this whole deal is that I asked them prior to the fence being installed if they needed anything from me regarding the sprinkler system and I was told no. A lot of trouble and repairs could have totally been avoided if a company who says they "deal with this all the time" could have offered a little more insight as to what they needed for a first time fence buyer. To summarize, they made a mistake and are not willing to make it right, so an already very expensive fence now turned into a fence and expensive sprinkler system fix. Overall love the fence and work they do, but they will not make things right when they make a mistake. I hate leaving a bad review for such great work, but hopefully this helps someone under similar circumstances. I will be taking future business elsewhere.

Wonderful job!! The gentleman were very professional from the contractor to the installers. The installers were very mindful of the plants in the yard and cleaned up very well after the job. My wife and I are very pleased with our new fence. I recommend this company to anyone wanting a fence.

5 stars for American Fence Company- the ONLY company to call us back when we began looking for a quote on a fence. We received a quote quickly and they said they were about 4-5 weeks out. We got the permit, they contacted digger's hotline and about a week ago called to tell us installation would be yesterday. Within the 4-5 week time frame. Great communication. Great service. I can't compare their pricing to anyone else because no one else called back but we are completely happy.

Let me start with the positives:
The installation was easy and the install crew were wonderful. They were courteous and did a lovely job with making sure we were happy with how the fence looked and where the gates we replaced.
Also the end product looks level and professional.
The negatives:
The wrong color was ordered and installed. We agreed to install because it was a special order. In order to have a fence this year we needed to accept that this would be what was given.
Jeff, the owner needs to work on his customer service skills. He never called to give us the date of the install, we had to pull our own permits (which he never explained needed to be done) and seems very short/high strung. At the end of our install we are still missing a portion of the top of the fence, because the right amount wasn’t ordered. For a professional company to order the incorrect amount and the wrong color seems amateur. When I emailed about the incorrect color it seemed as though he was happy to upgrade us. We have purchased windows and doors to match the white fence, that is now almond. For the $12-14,000 fence I expected better service on the sales end. He only apologized when I complained via email. Communication is poor at best. This has been a disappointing transaction and would not recommend this company to others.
