Overall I've had a good experience moving into one of the new builds, giving a 4 star because I feel like the landscaping could have been done better but as far as everything else goes its been great!

edit- almost 2 years in the house and Excalibur is still taking care of us. have never had any issues getting them to help out! they have been awesome for us!

I purchased a brand new home built by excalibur. I voiced a legitimate issue with my home within the 1 year parameter of my home’s warranty, and they denied accountability completely.

The flashing on my home was partially dug into the fill dirt surrounding my foundation. When I dug this dirt out to install a French drain, the metal flashing was found rotted at the level of the dirt.

They did come out and cut the flashing above the level of the rot, but it is not uniform with the circumference of my home. Thusly, it looks unsightly and unprofessional.

I am complacent with giving one star, because I have not yet had any other issues, but it’s saddening to have been through this; they simply do not care about their customers.

Overall

We were very happy with Excalibur Construction! On our 40 year old house, we had a new roof put on (rafters, insulation, sheeting, facia, soffit and gutters), replace a balcony and a new shower/bath area done...feels like a new house! Tom was very patient and worked with us to ensure the jobs were well done. We had a few hiccups here and there but, because of the scope of the remodel jobs, it could not be helped; everyone at Excalibur made sure the job got done to our satisfaction. Tom's crew, Johnnie, Tim and TJ, were professional, neat and great to be around. Their attention to detail was commendable and we were so impressed with the care they took. Thank you, Excalibur!

If I could give them zero stars, I would. On two separate occasions, for two different jobs, we have called them to get an estimate. Both times they have come out, spent maybe a minute looking at what needed to be done, barely spoke to us, and then left saying they would get back to us with an estimate. We never heard from them again and even dodged our calls when we attempted to contact them. I will never again call them for anything and have told everyone we know our experiences with them.
